Just a heads up for anyone who installed open theme, you have to apply the preference pack in the general tab in preferences. It took me a bit to find this so hope this helps.

Why do you need "OpenTheme"? What is better about this theme?

@@ukrainian-playlists imho it simply looks better/more modern which in turn makes the time spent with the app more pleasant. Also the UI clarity helps with the effectiveness of its usage.

I was so close to go learn Fusion 360 after encountering so much problem when designing objects in Blender. Audodesk products are like HIV virus to me. It was a pain to remove completely. The moment 1.0 was released, I went straight for it and I love it. Even if FreeCAD was an inferior product than Fusion360, I would rather donate than give big corpo a cent of my money. Way to go libre community!!!!! This is a big win for us. Let's make it the next Blender

Ondsel 2024.3.0dev was really good software, i was using Ondesl since 2024.1. It was at least usable software for testing.

Integrating the Ondsel Solver for assemblies is a huuuuge leap. It's finally usable now. And lot's of other useful features. I too love where FreeCAD is heading!

@@grn-xx i needed to actually design stuff. I was using Solidworks since 2015. Though every 3-4 versions i would attempt to use FreeCAD. Until Ondsel fixed things that should have been fixed years ago. I mean if you have a block of metal and your cad software can't put a fillet on it... maybe don't try to use it to design something.

Interesting the program in this new update, I chose to install and forehead and I am very anxious for this new learning with the new program. I have with Blender and Sketchup a unique connection, and I confess that it is very attractive.

Did this new FreeCAD 1.0 Assembly Workbench have its part assembly algorithm based on Assembly 4? The yellow icon is identical. Congratulations on the video. Great comments only on the tool's improvements.

It's sad that some features from Linkstage3 are still missing like the ability to select and prior sketches and their subfaces which makes them visible in order to use them. In FreeCAD 1.0 you can still only hover above a sketch and then you only see a feint outline which is useless
