Ok after a lot of struggling I FINALLY got this training down to the point I can create offsets... Took me hours...

Interesting workflow for creating sketch from complex faces. Thanks for sharing. But I little complicated, involving a lot of step in several workbench. For this particular case, another way is to use subshape-binder feature (to the face) directly in part-design WB, and use its offset property

What happened to the “fastener” tab? Seemed really easy to make nuts and bolts then.

Isn't that an add on?

what happens when we change original body then?

Not exactly sure why you couldn't have used the offset tool here. One might possibly have to first clone the edges, but that's still a lot simpler than what was shown here.

This is a brutal brutal tutorial. Absolutely NOT for beginners... He casually glosses over so many important things. For example, "how do we select all the different faces before we deselect face 3? I had to individually delete each one! While trying to select and deselect faces i was accidentally dropping faces ontop of others without knowing that was possible! Got multiple error messages.. Very hard!

Too complicated.

Complicated, but free. I'm struggling, myself, but I want an alternative to Tinkercad that won't break the bank. As a hobbyist, it's nice to have an option.

@@PatrickMcNealPuppets-n-Things totally agree. I use it to create objects to 3D print and although I'm learning a lot from this channel, remembering all the steps required to do what's been demonstrated in this video is a huge challenge.
