A little trick on most ebikes is if you go into the monitor and tell it that it has much smaller tires it will let you go much faster yet lol

Appreciate it. They are super fun. I would never buy a dirt bike after trying a powerful ebike. 👍✌️

I love these things, ebikes are awesome. I've been building my own cargo ebikes and they are really fun to make. My current project is making electric motored lanscaping/gardening yard carts using ebike hub motors and old Riding lawn mowers! The old Craftsman and similar riding mowers have manual super low geared transaxles that you can gear down even further with simple pulley swaps, and strip down the ebike hub removing the spokes, then attach it to drive the yard cart, which has a pull handle with the throttle on it. This allows you to gear an ebike motor down to about 5 mph top speed and incredibly low gearing that can pull hundreds and even a couple thousand lbs or more. Going to be making some cool dumping carts. The best part is they wil run off my 9Ah cordless tool batteries which I already have a bunch of.

I'm surprised the major cordless tool manufacturers haven't come out with a 4 wheeled yard dump cart that runs on their cordless batteries. Its such an obvious application if you ask me.

It's pretty easy to strip down an old cheap or free riding mower to the bare frame, mod the steering with a wagon type pull handle, and put an ebike hub motor on it that drives the belt pulley system. And just build a nice cart box, dump bed, or whatever on top of the frame.

@@spacemanspiffy6596 The electric robotic mowers are out there. No reason one cannot be charged with solar. I’m hoping the prices on those Husquevarna robotic mowers will come down over some time.

I got an e-bike here in Texas about 3.5 months ago. I opted for the 2-inch wide by 29-inch-tall tires since I'm mostly on paved roads, in the city. So far, I've put almost 750 miles on it. You should get one for the wife so y'all can go riding together. You should get a backup battery so you can always have one fully charged. From my experience, using electric vehicles, don't leave the battery hooked to the system when you're not using it. Safe riding sir and ma'am!

Love my e-bike - so much fun to ride! If you use the lowest pedal assist mode, you can get more range. I have a Burley cargo trailer that carries ~ 100 lbs and waterproof bike bags for the rear rack. My tires are not as wide but I have snow tires with spikes for the winter ice that work well :)

Most e-bikes have regenerative braking. You can actually put the bike on a stand and pedal it like a stationary bike. By riding the break you charge the internal battery. You can also tap out for external batteries.

As an Ebike technician, I'll tell you right now get a spare controller, battery, lcd screen and cadence sensor from the manufacturer. They will fail and there is no real aftermarket system in place yet to purchase from the open market short of going straight to Asian manufacturers.
@nateross144 ай бұрын
That's why I just build all my own ebikes using Ebay parts. They build a fine ebike and you can individually buy all the components.

Good looking bike. Probably a lot of fun but once you ride a bike with a torque sensor you'll never want to go back. I have the engwe engine pro 2 and it is the best e-bike I've ever ridden.

Keep an eye out for provincial motor vehicle laws ( in Nova Scotia; where I live - 32 kmph is speed limit for electric/gas powered moped or scooter) the town cops harass me constantly. My escoot goes 40kmph.

Watch out whet riding in city. As it usually is with this country everything is severely limited. Its only considered ebike up to 32km/h and 500kw motor. Higher than that its motorcycle that requires insurance. Cops won't care unless they catch you speeding on it :P
@davidwright55804 ай бұрын
Don't say that out to loud and then they make you get a licenses for it

Law in Canada is 500 watts maximum nominal. Max assist speed 32 km/h. You must also wear a helmet when on public roads or highways when riding an ebike. You are not a law abiding shovel owner. Obey all laws if you want to keep your shovels.
