Interesting boat. I recall John Oakley selling these in the U.K. I think the hull was designed around a lifeboat hull and they are always regarded as a sound sea boat. Thanks for sharing. Andy U.K.

So many of our coolest experiences on the boat come down to chance encounters. We just happened to be here when Marieke sailed into Stornoway, and she was kind of enough to take the time to speak to us about her life. And we're so grateful to get a chance to hear her amazing and unique story...and so happy to get to share it with you. Take care and have a great weekend! -M 😊

What a wonderful insight into The Piano-Boat, what my granddaughter calls it, and she wants a piano-boat one day when she grows up. Drake, you find such interesting people. I love your interview style, where you let the other person talk...so many hosts dominate the conversation with non-stop questions, where you just let it flow. And thx to you and Mo for another great episode...I hope you guys made it to the Faroe Islands this summer and are not in lockdown in Stornoway. Safe sailing guys. Farewell from Sydney Australia.

As a sailor, now land-loocked and a professional musician, I applaud you for combining these two passions both so close to my heart as well. Bon chance! and many years of happy sailing with your beautiful family.

My plan is to buy a Freedom Sailboat , as it seems to be the best choice for sailing long distance single handed. I have been reading and watching everything I can find, so was quite pleased today to see a new video here. I was not expecting such a beautiful story . I wish the links to the other videos were working, because I would be watching them all.

Marieke is going to be doing a lot of sailing in the coming years as she voyages to Norway and then on to Canada. I'm sure she'll be posting more about the sailing, and the speed of Lady Flow, and would love to have you follow along. 😊 -M @t

The boat buit around a 1/4 steinway was "clé de sol" in 1953 by Jean de l'Espée. You can read this story in "Le périple de La Clé de Sol".
