I fly a air tanker and I'm down here from the USA fighting the fires. I'd love to show Cleetus around and possibly take him up in the Air Tractor FireBoss water bomber that I fly. It's my 5th time down here and I can't say enough nice things about the Aussie's. They treat us like royalty when we're here helping out for the fire season. In 5 years I've yet to pay for a beer or a meal out when people know that we're here fighting fires. They truly appreciate us coming down and take amazing care of us. the people in Cali could learn a lesson or 2. I can't tell you the times I ran into people in Cali that have given me a hard time or said something like we're not doing enough, or how we let things go to make more money etc. It's kind of disgusting really. But if anyone knows how to reach Cleetus I'd love to Invite them.

Newer than 25 years it cannot be shipped back complete. It has to be a rolling shell with EPA and NHTSA parts removed like engine, trans, diff, headlights, seatbelts, etc. Tail lights are legal but would suggest removing them and putting in a box somewhere in the container due to cbp breaking them because they are ignorant and think they are illegal. Older than 25 years, you can bring in as is running and driving but once here the headlights need to be changed, or adjusted for LHD. If newer than 25 years and you want to drive legally on the road you need to do some work to it like convert to LHD. Then get it titled as the donor car, or custom car. For VE's the donor car would be a G8. For a VF the donor car would be a Chevy SS. If you never intend on putting it on the road legally and just drive it offroad, like at the drag strip, then you can leave it RHD, put an engine, trans, diff back in it and go. Source... I work for an import company that has imported quite a few VE's and VF's as well as older ones like the VY's and VZ's. We also have a crewman a 4 door ute shell currently in the states for sale.

The company I work for imports Barra's. Since Barra engines are newer than 21 years old they have to be split. Like the heads taken off, and shipped in separate containers. If you ship one in that is complete that is meant to stay in the US then you run the risk of having it confiscated at the port, and fines. We have 1 BF left for sale on the East coast, and an FG on the west coast. If you want to pre-order one we can do that as well for a bit cheaper.

I keep extra respirators in my truck during fire season. I have had a few situations where I have had to drive through fires in close proximity to the highway or crossing it. Where the cabin filter already isn't cutting it. Its crazy how fast the reduced oxygen and other chemicals and gasses and smoke can start over powering you in such situations with out.

A buddy of mine bought an 06 GTO brand new back in the day and I did most of the mods to it. Every time I drove it I thought, that car was 5 years too late in the mix. Seeing the orange Holden in the back reminded me of it. Toast reminds me of my 3rd Gen Fbodies that I owned, they were burnout machines with terrible engines so I can’t imagine having 700-800 on tap.
