Freedom from Rejection

Nobody makes it through life without the struggle of rejection. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson addresses the spiritual impact rejection has on our lives, and the behaviors people tend to respond with, including anger, aggression, bitterness, and stubbornness. Ignoring rejection is not sufficient-we need a plan for overcoming it, so it does not diminish our lives. Through the cross, we can be free from the sting of rejection and the wounds it creates, and Pastor Allen offers steps we can take to embrace that freedom.

The Holy Spirit woke me up at midnight. I spent time in prayer, then had a desire to listen to Pastor Allen. I went to KZbin and this sermon was there, so I listened. My husband of 56 years is bipolar. He has never been diagnosed because he would never see a doctor. In his mind everyone else is the problem, especially me. He is either in an angry depression or a manic. When in a manic he prints reams of whatever he is studying and goes to malls, college campuses, or churches to tell everyone what he thinks is what they need. He has been thrown out of churches, off of campuses, and out of malls. It is very grievous to me. We used to be treatment foster care parents and have 8 adopted kids. Our marriage has been very hard. However, God has used it to bring me closer to Himself. My misery caused me to run to the Lord and be open to His leading. I thought I was doing good. But the Spirit , through this sermon, showed me that I have still been resentful of my husband and the hardships and isolation it has caused. To protect my brothers and sisters in the Lord, I cannot have them over for fellowship. To love my husband, I cannot be at all the church fellowships I would like to. I realize now that I resent not only my husband but the church because it can’t handle people with problems. I now am praying and repenting of these. Thank the Holy Spirit for waking me to pray and to listen.🙏🏻✝️♥️

He will never reject us, and yes, He has a plan. Thank you for the reminder that I need to please Him & not people; He loves us and will get us where we are supposed to be. 😇😇

I can understand that but GOD word said it is not good to be alone ! I , or me and my husband ,went thru things that are beyond hard ALONE and I still go thru difficult things ALONE that are and were not justifiable , thru it all I feel like I have not turned away from the LORD ! I know that’s where my hope lies , but physically , emotional I am so so tired ! PLEASE LORD show me a family and a church that cares ! These things are too difficult to carry alone ! Where is the family LORD that you will put me in ?

@@sandrarhodes5073 Well, the truth is most churches don't encourage it. Talking about scripture, is an easy way to believe we are living as Christians. But it's not just trust. Feedback is often not helpful, i.e., pray, seek the Lord, repent....all these are true but not like direct support. I want to change our Bible study group to applying scripture, to our real life struggles. I feel that those in the group may have suggestions that can help me with MY challenges, as I might be able to offer assistance to others. Why are we not utilizing the resources of Christians in our church, that have been blessed with tools, strengths or wisdom? So, Sandra, you and I are on the same mission. One last thing: Christians are human, prideful, wishing to impress others, by behaving as though they are superior. They can gossip. BUT, when we let go completely of what others say to us, or about us, we can not be hurt. Disappointed in their lack of Christian maturity, but not hurt. Trust is necessary if you wish to receive God's assistance that He provides through Christians. Put youself out there, authentically, without fear or expectation, and God will deliver a Christian helper.

Remember Job....his friends were ultimately of little help, if any, and perhaps harmful. May I humbly suggest reading through Job, realizing the enemy sometimes afflicts, limited by our Lord. God is faithful. He WILL show up. As you persevere through this season Holy Spirit will teach, grow, strengthen and bless accordingly. And on the other side of the trial, you WILL be stronger and more able to comfort others. I do know this...the kingdom of God needs warriors and warriors must be trained and that training is sometimes very challenging. In the meantime, I pray that His love and grace be made obvious and effective in your heart and mind and soul. Jesus loves you and genuine brothers and sisters do too!!! Including me...see you in glory one day sister.

Government is supposed to be there to help the country and it's people prosper and to keep peace through righteous laws. Just like the Pope is supposed to uphold the faith in keeping with the teachings of Christ and the Apostles. Sadly both government and the Pope have lost their way and have been doing the opposite.😭 And the Bible says that those who cause division in the Body of Christ are doing Satan's work. I love all true Believers. What we must do is use discernment to weed out those who don't follow Jesus and stop letting those people into positions in the Church. They are causing corruption. Evil person's have infiltrated the Vatican and thus the church I grew up in and grew spiritually in has totally decompensated.🤢😩

Many people solely base their Salvation on what Jesus said in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life." But Jesus was not finished speaking yet. Later after He rose from the dead and just before He ascended into heaven He said in Mark 16:16,"He that believes and is BAPTIZED shall be Saved, but he that believes not shall be damned." At about that same time He said in Matthew 28:19,"Go therefore and teach all nations, BAPTIZING them in the name (SINGULAR name and not names) OF the Father, and OF the Son, and OF the Holy Ghost." Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are titles and not names. Jesus disciples never used those words when they baptized anyone in water, nor did they use those words in one sentence regarding any other topic. Every time Jesus disciples baptized anyone in water they invoked Jesus name at baptism which is Acts 2:38, Acts 8:14-18, Acts 8:38, Acts 9:18, Acts 10:44-48, Acts 16:15, Acts 16:33, Acts 18:7, Acts 18:8, Acts 19:3-5, and Acts 22:16 (Paul's baptism). Peter said in Acts 4:12,"Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other NAME under heaven given among men, whereby we must be SAVED." Paul said in Colossians 3:17,"And whatsoever you do in word or deed, do ALL in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by HIM." Paul said in Colossians 2:8-10,"Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9 For in him dwells ALL the fullness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And you are COMPLETE in him, which is the head of all principality and power." Also verse 12, "BURIED with him in BAPTISM, wherein also you are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who has raised him from the dead." The book of Acts is the most important book in the New Testament because all of it is what Jesus and his disciples said what we must do to be Saved, which is what Jesus meant in John 3:3-7, "Verily, verily I say unto you, Except a man be born again, he can not enter into the kingdom of God. 5 Verily, verily I say unto you, Except a man be born of water AND the of Spirit, he can not enter into the kingdom of God. 7 Marvel not that I say unto you, YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN." Being born of water is being baptized in water in Jesus name - which is for the Remission of Sins (Acts 2:38). Being born of the Spirit is being baptized with the Holy Ghost - which is addressed in Acts 2:4 (Pentecost), Acts 8:17, Acts 9:18, Acts 10:44-48, and Acts 19:3-5. Nowhere in Scripture does it say it happens any other way than that way. There is not one Scripture that says a person receives the Holy Ghost just because they are a believer. Acts 19:2-5 is a good example. Some say the thief on the Cross next to Jesus was not baptized in Jesus Name but Jesus was not finished speaking yet. He did not give the COMMANDMENT to be Baptized in His Name until after He rose from the dead and just before He ascended into heaven, therefore the thief could not do it because he did not know about it. If you are convinced you need to get Baptized in water in Jesus Name, do a search, type in "United Pentecostal Church International", scroll down to just below the red box, type in your zip code, a screen will show a Church near you that will do that. If you do the above you will be making SURE your name is written in Lamb's Book Of Life. Jesus said in John 10:27,"My Sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me."

You have put you WHOLE "born again" principle on 'speaking in tongues" (hearing), yet our relationship (as with Abraham) - to now to be able to approach Father God (through Jesus's Redemptive Blood), is FAITH/Trust... not about speaking in tongues! The WHOLE Christ-ian relationship with GOD is Trust/Faith (like the trust in a "marriage relationship". You are SEALED with the Holy Spirit (Eph 1:13) when you believe. Now "get into" God's Word/instructions/teachings and GROW. ❤
