After almost a thousand days of house arrest plus 45 days in prison, Donziger is finally free. What now? What did he learn, how does he feel, and what challenges still lie before him?

Steven, have a great first day of full freedom. Marianne, thank you as always for your commitments on all fronts. And President Biden, do one good deed today: Pardon Steven Donziger who has done nothing that should required being pardoned and yet, it is what it is. And while you're at it: drop the charges against Julian Assange. Go ahead, make my day!

Ohh my goodness!! I can't believe I caught this live and was wondering why you were live so early in the day, but I'm so happy you're allowing us to know the REAL news that other big media will most likely not want to report on. Thank you, Marianne, for speaking with Steven, and thank you Steven for being so brave, holding your own, and continuing to tell the truth to us all!! God bless you and your family, Steven.

What a brave man. Thank you Marianne for enlightening us on this important issue with Chevron. We have so very much corruption in this world. Praying for truth to Peace.

Great podcast--bravo for your bravery Marianne and Steven Donziger's too--for confronting our unjustice system! Indeed, I hope this podcast is viewed by folks at the White House, including President Joe Biden. He needs to understand what's truly happening in our country that he chose to lead! Again, a wonderful celebratory interview--wishing Donziger and his family the best after enduring such a bizarre situation for too long.

'free donziger' But he will never be free until the system that watches over him, us and anyone who wants to be connected to lands prosperity is given freedom and justice. He can never lose sight as we can. Free ourselves, free the Ecuadorians. Never stop.

I'm thrilled, so happy to hear Donziger is free. He sounds great and sounds firm on going after those who are destroying, literally, everything. There's still so much ahead of us to go after when it comes to injustices going on today. I wish all the best to the people of Ecuador, you deserve justice.

Thank you Marianne for bringing Steven to us. I heard him for a brief 5 minutes on Democracy Now with Amy Goodman and Juan González couple of days back.

Fantastic news! Congratulations, Steven! I know there are challenges ahead, but this feels to me like an unfixable crack in the foundation, and that whatever comes will be of a downhill nature compared to what came before. Sincerely hoping that's the case, anyway. President Biden, I don't see what satisfaction there is having chased and bought a title that you don't have the balls to do anything with. For God's sake, give Steven Donziger the pardon, and at least get the hell out of the way on all other matters. Marianne, you know you have to run again. I strongly sense it will be a whole new ball game.

How do we punish the establishment, their behaviour in this matter is criminal.

What a rape of justice this case was! So happy to see Steven as a free man again but what an outrage that in a country supposedly under the rule of Law someone could be deprived of their freedom as a direct result of the pressure of a corporation in the judicial system! If it can happen to Steven it can happen to anyone and actually that is the message that they want out...

He never should have been placed under house arrest. So stupid and really it's obscene.

This is a great example of WHY you don’t live in a democracy. You live in a Corporation.

Thankful today is a day to celebrate freedom, however, we should be completely transparent about the fact that freedom of speech in this country is entirely subjective and privately owned. Had you discussed talking points relating to freedom of health this zoom call would have been banned. We know that to be a fact. Perhaps some freedom of speech is better than none, but as we see with the egregiousness of this case, it’s a slippery slope. And one that needs to be called out.

Unfortunately, it isn't a win. We shouldn't let him, Steven, ever again down. His and other peoples work is so important, we must assist and be there every time it's needed. It's our all cause and our all present and future. There's war, still, destruction of nature, active and passive, and the time we have, indigenous people have, is precious. Meanwhile Assange gets extradited to the US, the world is going into a new arms race and the destraction by media couldn't be worse these days. We are challenged by those who are supposed to act in our name, but democracy is bend to its knees, almost only a shiny thing those presenting us who do everything to not let it be reality. It was never the time democracy came to power, it was always only used as talking point. What they fear IS democracy, US! That's being said, we never were so deep in shit than nowadays and the future, given all the signs and the direction we're heading, is a horrible place I don't want to be.

congratulations on the house arrest being over! What a completely ridiculous and unconstitutional debacle.

Stephen we want you to look forward but we also want you to look back because you can now relate to an empathize with many African-American men who have been wrongly put in prison and who have been ignored as they to fight to tell the truth or deal with life in prison over things like selling weed. Will you look to help make a difference for those in that situation?

What evil failed to do here was to choose a better timeframe for covid. 😉 One single human life, all its exquisite architecture, all its effortless harmony, all its unfathomable complexity, all of its miracle, just one human life is more than all of civilization, history, and conscious contrivance. Yet evil is among us and our angels are in chains. No more.
