In 1965, American radio host Paul Harvey gave an immense warning to the American people about the fate of the nation. “We Were Warned: Freedom to Chains” is a short film about the parallels between the warning Harvey gave over fifty years ago, and today with the Socialist influences in government and society. This video is an edit of the short film created to provide only the audio without the visuals seen in the original.

When I was a boy in the early 1960’s visiting my grandparents every summer in Nanticoke, PA., my grandma listened to Paul Harvey everyday. I stopped what I was doing to listen too. His news delivery was unlike anything I had ever heard, and I just loved “The rest of the Story” he would speak of. His breed is gone now, and he is not experiencing the heartbreak over our society today as the rest of us are. I am grieved over what I see happening in these United States today. His life influenced and taught many, he is greatly missed.

So glad I listened to this from Mr. Harvey. I feel the exact same way you do. When I saw that your comment was just two days ago, I had to let you know I read it. The wisdom you inherited from your grandparents was so profound, that it never left your soul. I wish you a safe. Love to you. Thank you for leaving this for us to see. That kind of contrivance is a piece of information the 'working classess' need to be aware of, but not try and copy, or react violently to, even though it is an attempt at psychological manipulation. I am an Oath Keeper. Literally. I cannot remember how many times I took that oath, both in the military and the police. But I was always proud to utter those words, and pledge my allegiance to our Constitution, our Republic, and our Flag. I was ready to shed my blood, and lay down my life to preserve all three of those. And I still am. No other nation has a Bill of Rights like we do. No other nation gave so much to keep the peace Worldwide and to protect the weak, downtrodden, and suffering masses like we do. No other nation's farmers feed as much of the World as ours do. No other nation rebuilt destroyed nations after both WWI and WWII, and Vietnam. We selflessly lifted them up to be equals with us, not subordinates. We are a great people, kind, patient, honest, and industrious. We survived many wars, many catastrophes, and we will survive the current scourge of the WEF/UN/NWO/Globalists. And if blood must be shed to survive them, may it be THEIR blood that waters the Tree of Liberty, not ours. Semper Fi! 🇺🇲 Deus Vult! ⚔️ Sic Semper Tyrannus!

Regarding Taxes: 2 years ago I received a letter from my bank, the Bank of Scotland. Seemingly the US Gov't , via my bank, required me to prove I was not American or I would be taxed by them. I'm a 72 year old Scotsman. A worker. When our children were very young we went on a 10 day holiday to Boston (thoroughly enjoyed), that was our only visit to the USA. Aparrently the US Gov't has an aggreement with other countries banks to formalise this. In order to prove to the US Gov't via my bank I had to make a legal statement of proof that I wasn't a US Citizen. My Bank's advice was to comply or they would never be off my back. I complied. No further contact. Why me? No idea but I was not the only one. I know that. Aye what Mr. Harvey says is wisdom indeed. Best Wishes to the US from Scotland. Jock.

It is important to allow the speech from all sides. Usually when both sides are allowed to speak, most people can figure out which is real, & which is not, because the one speaking the truth will come at the subject directly & produce verifiable facts/sources, whereas the one spouting propaganda most times won't answer a direct question, will try to change the subject, will spout a lot of rhetoric, or often raise their voices, threaten, & throw insults. Hard work was expected without saying, God was real without question, children respected thier elders and appreciated the smallest of things. School was a blessing and a place you knew your kids were cared for and loved, a time when bubble gum was still a penny and the phone was still tied to the wall and 20 feet long. Boys respected Girls and they would have never thought of sending eachother dirty pictures...because they had self respect, they were valued by boys not just objects. I miss this sanity and calm. I miss a time of playing outside till the porch lights came on..and I mean really playing. Kick the can and light tag, wading in the creek and playing in the rain back when it smelled like real rain. Paul Harvey was of a time that he saw what was coming. He was prophetic in his words and only wanted us to know what was to come if we continued on the road we have long navigated. It is here. We are here. We have been lax with our children, told them whatever makes them happy is what they should strive for instead of saying "nothing is free, there will be a price to pay" We have done a disservice to the younger generation as it was easier to let them play video games than to engage and make them think. I am 62 YO. I work in Hospice as an RN. I have seen death and I do not fear it. But I do fear what has happened in this once great country. We are no longer great, we are no longer good. We are I believe done. Sorry but we did it to ourselves. Good luck with the coming shortages, gas hikes and no one able to call their life their life their own. We have slept for a long time, let the people who screamed the loudest put us down. We have done this to ourselves fearing the backlash from the ones who scream the loudest. The media used to be on the side of America. No more. And if you disagree you are the enemy. I am the enemy.

I spent 20 years in the Navy, partially because I thought the privilege of living in the US was something I should pay for in some way. Now I think I may have thrown that 20 years in the trash. I don't recognize the country I worked to protect. Most of the time I don't feel its worth protecting anymore. I am in the home stretch of my life, but I fear for the generation of my children's children. I feel our collapse is two or maybe three generations out.

Except no one's tongue has been torn out. No one is being silenced, quite the opposite in fact. During the time when Harvey was making his idiotic rants, Americans had considerably less freedom of speech compared to today. Comics are no longer arrested like they were in the 60's. Civil right's leaders are not being silenced. Trump and his lying minions are free to say and do whatever they want. You people must live in a different dimension if you believe Harvey's nonsense.
