When I was a boy in the early 1960’s visiting my grandparents every summer in Nanticoke, PA., my grandma listened to Paul Harvey everyday. I stopped what I was doing to listen too. His news delivery was unlike anything I had ever heard, and I just loved “The rest of the Story” he would speak of. His breed is gone now, and he is not experiencing the heartbreak over our society today as the rest of us are. I am grieved over what I see happening in these United States today. His life influenced and taught many, he is greatly missed.

I remember seeing him smile at what Mr Harvey was saying and laughing. I remember thinking that Paul Harvey was old, what was my dad going ot listen to when he passed and was no longer on the radio, it was clear that he enjoyed his program so much. It turned out that Paul Harvey had a lot more years left than my Dad did. I still listen to Paul Harvey and in some small way, his words comfort me and connect me to my Dad. It is important to allow the speech from all sides. Usually when both sides are allowed to speak, most people can figure out which is real, & which is not, because the one speaking the truth will come at the subject directly & produce verifiable facts/sources, whereas the one spouting propaganda most times won't answer a direct question, will try to change the subject, will spout a lot of rhetoric, or often raise their voices, threaten, & throw insults. "Truth doesn't mind being questioned. A lie doesn't like being challenged."

School was a blessing and a place you knew your kids were cared for and loved, a time when bubble gum was still a penny and the phone was still tied to the wall and 20 feet long. Boys respected Girls and they would have never thought of sending eachother dirty pictures...because they had self respect, they were valued by boys not just objects. I miss this sanity and calm. I miss a time of playing outside till the porch lights came on..and I mean really playing. Kick the can and light tag, wading in the creek and playing in the rain back when it smelled like real rain. Medicare and Medicaid? Technology? Space exploration? Public lands? Public utilities? Medical research?border security/ immigration? Health and safety for workers? Ect.... Just think how much you would have to pay out of pocket just to get the fire dept. To come to your house to put out a fire, as they did in the "good old days". I don't think people really think about what their taxes pay for and if they are willing to do without those services if the government didn't provide them.just leaving your driveway would cost you money to travel on all the toll roads. You want the cops to come? well not until you pay for them. You want to walk into a hospital? Pay the teller at the door and if you can't afford the price go home and suffer. I listened to Paul Harvey growing up, and boy doesn't his speech make you feel like a pioneer felling trees and building your life and living off the land free and responsible for your own? How many of those pioneers died and weren't able to be responsible for their own? The myths of our making will be the end of us.

He was a prophet. He saw Trump, the ultimate insider, try to maintain power after he lost the election. The fact that he has gotten people to believe that he was right is the ultimate deception. By "Uncle Sam getting whipped" it means that someone gets into power and does things like claim he is entitled to a third term. The Constitution forbids that. But people say, "Yeah, yeah, he's right! Give him a third term!" They have been deceived. It means that someone can think that, because he has the temporary job of president, he can do things like eliminate institutions like NARA just because he doesn't like them. But NARA has belonged to the people of the United States, not one individual, for generations. It is part of our legacy and heritage. And people say, "Yeah, yeah, eliminate NARA! Eliminate the FBI! He wants it, so let's do it!" They have been deceived. It means that he can claim, without evidence, that an election is fraudulent and that institutions like the U.S. court system which said there's no evidence, and his own DHS which said there's no evidence, and all of the Secretaries of State and all 3200 County Elections Commisioners who signed their names to the vote count, are all wrong and are "enemies of the state." And people say, "Yeah, yeah, enemies! Fraud!" They have been deceived. Beware of people like that man. He will have accomplished an inside job.

Paul Harvey was of a time that he saw what was coming. He was prophetic in his words and only wanted us to know what was to come if we continued on the road we have long navigated. It is here. We are here. We have been lax with our children, told them whatever makes them happy is what they should strive for instead of saying "nothing is free, there will be a price to pay" We have done a disservice to the younger generation as it was easier to let them play video games than to engage and make them think. I am 62 YO. I work in Hospice as an RN. I have seen death and I do not fear it. But I do fear what has happened in this once great country. We are no longer great, we are no longer good. We are I believe done. Sorry but we did it to ourselves. Good luck with the coming shortages, gas hikes and no one able to call their life their life their own. We have slept for a long time, let the people who screamed the loudest put us down. We have done this to ourselves fearing the backlash from the ones who scream the loudest. The media used to be on the side of America. No more. And if you disagree you are the enemy. I am the enemy.

I remember listening to Paul Harvey everyday. He was a great orator. Thank you Natalie Sims for bringing back a wonderful part of my teenage years.

Thank you for sharing this! Your choice of music was superb! The warnings have been there all along… We’ve been deliberately distracted by so many things… I pray, this thing called social media that was meant to distract, will continue as the very tool needed to awaken the masses worldwide! 🦋Lily🦋

When I was growing up, Paul Harvey’s voice rang through our house every time he had a broadcast. I thank my mother for that. Now, he’s a blast from the past on KZbin but his words are even more wisely appropriate as we spiral out of control in our country. What can we do to change the runaway course that we are on, presently?!

Born in 1975, i listened to Paul every day as a boy and remember his show well. Such a shame we don't have that anymore.
