They changed the way their service works: Premium Service 1 month for free, then you have to manually downgrade to the free service to avoid being charged. Free service includes unlimited talk/text and 500MB Data. If you go over on the free data, you will be charged. Not worth it anymore..

Kavya well there is an alternative. look into TEXT now wireless. they have unlimited 2g data on all their LTE plans. and the services actually works! they use Sprint and T-Mobile networks

i got mine 3 months ago and the one i got was the data plan i didnt know they had a voice and data and texting, my experience is that i get H+ and 3G for most part my first month i got 2 gigs and then just cancelled the premium then just past 2 months i get my 200mb cuz im on a budget so its pretty cool getting 200mb do some light social media.i got my freedom pop sim card on amazon for $9.99. so if you on a budget and wants some data for free i think freedom pop is the way to go

Just letting everyone know. Freedompop canceled the global gsm dim. I had 1 and they just forced me to"upgrade" to a non global sim.

You say use an app like Voice or Whatsapp but they are both data apps. They are not sms messenger apps that count towards the unlimited messaging. Just wondering what's up with that.

Patrick McCarty they barely use data. go to my other video and you'll see. I have tons of videos about what apps use data and what apps don't. freedompop is a WhatsApp partner. the data is free on their global sim card with Whatsapp

Yes. If you noticed my phone was an unlocked Nexus and it can run on all carriers. But to answer your question, yes. As long as the phone you purchase has T-Mobile and At&t unlocked you should be good to go.

I found out they will unlock phones if you buy with the carrier locked phone from them after 6 months. If you look around you can find some pretty deccent deals on better prices for Samung phones even the Samsung S6. You have just to pay for either a GSM phone or CDMA one then keep the plan with them on free plan for 6 months then just call them about unlocking you IMEI number. When you thinking about it if you go to a carrier locked plan you will have to pay for the phone upfront or a monthly plan for the phone not including which ever phone plan sign up with too. The prices on the samungs phone are not super high in price but can be. So you just end paying for a semi-old phone for a lot cheaper and its paid off when you pay for it. +Flash Step use the Google voice app and that app will link you to Hangouts. Also check your settings in Hangouts to make sure your number is verified

+bobby royster no. You have to pay a fee. It's very expensive. So I suggest to get on the Whatsapp unlimited plan if you can. If you use Whatsapp you can instantly message and call without touching your data or minutes and wifi is always something to look for.Go check out my other videos about saving data and using wifi

I already have a personal phone and a company phone. the reason I was looking into this is because I just wanted to put in in my car and forget about it by using an app call "owntrack" but if I ran out of data and they will charge me for mb if I go over the 500mb then forget about it. Yes. It uses data. Only 1MB for 1,000 texts and 100MB for every hour spent on a call. But the WhatsApp, Viber and Skype application are also another app of choice to choose from

***** . They sent me two phones instead of one. They charged me for two phones did not return my money. They charged my credit card over and over again until I had to stop my card. My bank disputed the charges and I got the monies back, but I still got charged for two phones. Plus, when I stoped my card they disconnect my phone. And told me I can no longer use them. I bought a Freedompop Global sim card on Amazon and it's already registered under someone's email and with their password. I can't even use it! Don't buy anything from Freedompop! Freedompop sent me a netgear hotspot with a battery that won't charge. It says unplug fully charged and then it says critical on battery level. They took my $29.99 and I only used 28 mb the first month. The second month I bought 5GB and they took my $39.99 automatically when I bought it. Later they said it did not go through and cancelled my account until I paid another $9.99 to keep my rollover minutes.

oh man! Thats sad! im sorry to hear that! wow! I see a lot of users are having bad luck with FreedomPop. I have no idea why. They respond to me right away and usually fix my issues right away! It really not for everyone. But if it works for you then that all that will matter. Its been great here in my area.. I have project Fi as a backup and T-Mobile. I have a sim cars from them and the voice is horrible quality the text. i couldn't receive any text i had to uninstall the app and restall it . this is voip phone not a regular cell service. its ok for the free plan but the quality sucks .im done after the 30 days free service i got . ultra moble 20 a month . there other real service out there for a good price im talking cell service
