i think its less like an abuser and a victim and two people who are both particially in the wrong and the right. both of them struggle keeping the relationship in tact, and they both love each other, but they end up hurting the other still. a lot of unhealthy relationships are more than just victim and abuser, i guess.

It could really go either way (or both). If from the abuser's perspective, it seems like they feel bad about what they're doing, but are enjoying it too much to stop. They also manage to brush off their actions as something they "can't" change, and that this abuse is their only path forward as they see life as worthless. So they use people as a way to treat their misforuntes or boredom in life. With their lines about how much they want to cry could be genuine (unlikely), or something they're mocking their victim with or trying to guilt them with. That also applies to the lines about how deep their heart has been wounded. But in the end, they still see love as something..."fake". The victim asks them how much they want to wallow in self-pity, and they retrot that the victim just wouldn't understand. If from the victim's perspective, (this is personally my least favourite) then this song is sung from a victim who's been conditioned to accept the abuse or are desperate enough for their abuser's affections to accept what happens. Or my personal interpretation: this is both from the abuser's perspective and the victim's perspective, though the latter comes in only at the end and very sparingly. Majority of the song is dedicated to show much the abuser COULD care about what they're doing, but don't; as well as several reasons for why they did this in the first place. From 4:00, it could honestly be from both sides, as the abuser re-iterates their hypocritical standpoint and the victim becomes disillusions/jaded after what's happened which ironically brings them to become more like their abuser. Extra: Going a bit more in depth of what I think the abuser is doing specifically. The abuser is someone who's lonely, jaded with bonds, and maybe even has the world spit on them often. The victim is a friend of thiers, perhaps a close one. The abuser starts to exploit their relationship to make it as close to a romantic/sexual one as they can to "heal their wounds" as seen from the comments about "love exploding" and a multitude of lines near the end. It's sprinkled throughout the song, but I'll mention the ones I find really good. First, at 0:23. Also the lines about holding hands, and having the victim turn away their head to say "I love you". 3:01-3:18 "If all that viciously flowing innocence of yours ever fully empties out, I'll secretly force my way into your heart! S-s-s-so ready for your love." 3:27-3:32 "I'm in estascy from your sweet voice, that smell of yours (chu is a kissing noise in japan, but the lyrics put it as "simply enraptured )...Ready for your love" Even though they attempt to make it as close to a relationship as possible, they still realize it's not a true romantic relationship if the other person doesn't view it as so, which is why they include lines about being ready for love. Their friend attempts to reason with them and is upset with them (hence dumpster of tears and reasons to get better, and the lines about thinking about what they want to do and getting tired when thinking about it) but the abuser doesn't care enough to stop. The very start of the song could be from both abuser and victim. (Victim is demanding that the abuser take them seriously, Abuser thinks victim sees their infatuation with them as trivial) But near the end, the victim becomes jaded with what's happens and ends up sharing a similar viewpoint to their abuser. The very last two lines Can also be for both abuser and victim. (Abuser is sick of victim fighting back and being upset, and the victim tells them that they don't understand how much they've been hurt. If the victim is the one prompts the second to last line, they are finally numb to the abuser's plight and asks when they're going to stop wallowing in pity. The abuser tells them that they just wouldn't understand how much he was hurt. So yea. -Gimmie your thoughts if ya want. Hope you enjoyed

I'm guessing this song is about an individual who is deeply in love with this other person, but never tried to pursue him/her. The person is ready to throw herself(because it's Miku singing) at her crush, but doesn't have the guts to do it, so I'm guessing she admires her crush from afar like most people. Finally, the girl's secret crush is exposed, but she chose to give up on it instead of pursuing it and decides to just cry it out in order to move on. Idk though, but I don't think the song is that dark compared to Coin Locker Baby.

The lyrics aren’t similar to New darling in which I due agree in New Darling, the “victim” is a masochist. I feel like the victim still wants his love/validation in some way even if it’s abusive. I don’t know how to explain it but similar to drugs, you know it’s hurting you mentally and physically, but it’s so addicting. The boy could be manipulating the victim into feeling that way.

This is honestly one of the most easy songs to translate (as in theorize) but many people aren’t thinking like me. The song is about abusive relationships, in the victims perspective. The abuser only wants her for the sake of sex, while she wants to pursue an actual relationship. She doesn’t see this until the middle of the relationship. Of course this causes more arguments. At the end of the song, she gets out of the relationship and is very sad. But similar to maegmist, she moves on and asks if she should keep crying and how she grew up. SO NOW LETS ANYLYZE EVERY SINGLE THING ABOUT THE SONG! The phone ringing at the beginning symbolizes miku calling somebody over the phone. “It’s not fucking funny” symbolizes the pain the victim as gone through and which suffered trauma At 0:22, we get miku talking about a warmth and touch. I believe this is the abuser flirting with her and she is very into it. I think the “nobody believes in a pointless future” is about her wanting to get in a full on relationship with the guy. The next line after that shows how she really loves the flirting which the flirting turns into more uncomfortable vibes, but miku is still impressed and still in the love daze. She really does want to experience all the sides of her new boyfriend after all. She mistakes the constant lust over true love, she wants him to keep this though because she’s facing “true love” from her new boyfriend. On 0:40 she talks about a treasure. I believe that treasure is her purity and/or her body. The treasure could also be her boyfriend flirting with her. She doesn’t want to give into, which goes by what she said. She doesn’t want to give her body. This got me very confused but I feel like she is mistaking “lust love” with “romance and true love,” so miku gets confused and doesn’t want to give it to him. Her wasting it well today, is her asking if she spent her time wisely with this guy. At 1:02, the lust flirting gets her in an actual relationship with the guy. This doesn’t go well. “messing up as if by instinct” could be that this isn’t meant to be, especially if the love was lustful. The pointless relationship is suppose to represent the relationship yet she still wants to feel it. 1:11 is the part that got me super confused. But this could mean too things, one, the girl is repeating what the guy said or, she’s trying to mock herself by saying how naive and how easily she fell down in an abusive relationship . think when her boyfriend said “the sooner the better” symbolizes how he wants to have sex right now, her saying “I love how quickly you give up” is her saying how he’s not flirting with her anymore just straight up asking. When she states she can’t hear his breath anymore, it probably means he has been ghosting her or has been not seeing in a while. She gets very confused and upset and questions things like his intent. 1:25 Many people who suffer from trauma, cannot remember a thing in there trauma at times, maybe this could be her trying to remember all the awful things he did to her. She knows he has done such “things” with her, but she can’t remember when, how, what happened just only the pain and trauma that stuck itch her. If she tries either way, it becomes very difficult and hard. The ghosting of him gets her scared and she tells him not to let go of her hand, most likely saying to not leave her. 1:35 Now she remembers a bit of evidence that might have a connection with the bad things he has done, that evidence wether it’s a text photo. She’s trying to use that piece of evidence to try to aim to what happened there, but while doing this she’s questioning her own tactics. She’s starting to get bored with her own boyfriend but tries not to think about it. She finally realizes the trauma (gaping wounds of mind) he has bring to her. She’s trying to find more evidence. Oh no, not again. Her evidence isn’t sticking all together (I can relate to her in general with these theories) Even trying after try, she just can’t do it. oh my god MARETU I LOVE YOUR LYRICS Anyways, she starts getting aggressive asking the abuser threatening question, like who he think he is for treating her such badly and giving her trauma. Skipping some lines, she knows. She knows she’s hated in an abusive relationship but she can’t get enough. Even how badly the abuser treated her, she still falls into the old love daze like the first time they met. (This is still w.I.p) The next three lines is her directly talking to her boyfriend 3:02 She asking if his romantic love or sexual love ever runs out, she’ll try to fix the relationship so it doesn’t. This means miku still wants his validation, even if it’s not healthy. The part where she says “s-s-s-so, ready for your love” I think she’s trying to symbolize how much she is ready for it. Similar to how a couple might say how much they love love love the said person. However this could also symbolize how she’s not sure if she’s still ready for his love. The next line shows how much she doesn’t want this relationship to end even if she’s still crying after how much he abuses her. But the truth is that she doesn’t want to hear all the bad things he did to her and what her emotions are trying to say. Miku is still trying to fix that fallen boat. even so much to the point she’s not listening to herself and tears she has faced. She still has the old him in her mind, the sweet boyfriend she first met. Again skipping some lines, 3:57 Miku realizes how much trauma and suffering he brought to her. But instead of just ignoring it she wants to do something about it. She wonders why people want this love that brought her trauma (mistaking lust love as for real love). She’s became the text book definition of depressed, can’t feeling anything inside. She views this as growing up from her trauma. she realizes how dumb this whole relationship and asks herself if she wants to keep acting on her trauma. Now the last line “You don’t understand anything” I think means how nobody really does understand the pain she has gone through. Conclusion: Now I do feel like they actually weren’t in a boyfriend-girlfriend type of thing, but in more of, he only saw her for her body type. This song reminds me a lot on Two-Faced lovers by Wowaka which knowing Maretu and his passion for Wowaka, could be what the song is based off of or taken inspiration from. But overall this has to be one of my favorite Maretu newer songs.

I'm gonna add some minor notes I saw from listening to other utaite covers: 1:10 MARETU did a play on words with "medetai" which can either mean "want to love" (愛でたい) or "how silly/naive" (目出度い) depending on the characters used ((Take this double bracket part with a grain of salt: I tossed those into a translator and I got the words "auspicious" and "conspicuous". So it could mean "How favourable/lovely; your weakness" and/or "How obvious; your weakness".)) 3:15 is confirmed to be se-se-set ready for your love.

I like to think that the song is about a villain pretending to join the 'heroes' out of boredom. They actually start to like the 'main hero' of the story. But then, they were almost exposed to being an enemy multiple times, but the 'main hero' doesnt think its a big deal and still lets them join the adventure. The group then encounters the main villain that the villain who pretended to join in the group works for. The main villain pointed at the villain and revealed the villain is a traitor. The 'main hero' finally confronts the villain, but they try to distract the hero by confeesing to them about their love. The heroes kicked them out of the group. The villain was pissed by the 'heroes' and was 'intoxicated' by the love they felt for the 'main hero'.

Eh, there's a much bigger atmospheric difference between the two songs. Suji is focused on a nonconsensual, pedophilic relationship and the singer knows what they're doing is horrible wrong, but can't help their urges. Packet hero seems to be more focused on a hidden love or crush. Since the two songs are in the same series, there's speculation that this might be the narrative of the victim in Suji. Their meaning of love is corrupted, described as (sometimes pleasurable) pain. They even describe themselves as broken. It doesn't seem like they want to harm the person they're gushing about, but it's clear that they're a bit too obsessive. Unlike Suji, the narrator doesn't wish to steal or break their lover's innocence, but wait for it to disappear before getting them to love them. (Sorry about the unorganized mess of an opinion.)
