I really like this guy, because it's evident just from watching some of the fills here that he's a very good drummer, but he's not afraid to play the obvious thing because it fits the song (unlike many other very good drummers). For example the snare build starting around 3:30, most players would try to jazz that up towards the end, not so with this guy and the song benefits from it :)

Its the Ludwig Supraphonic Black Beauty Snare Drum. Im guessing it is the 6.5x14. I just bought this snare drum a couple weeks ago, It sounds incredible! It is considered one of the most recorded drums in history I think. Red Hot Chili Peppers, underoath, paramore, and a crazy amount of awesome drummers use this snare. It sounds like im laying a pitch for this drum but it really is an awesome drum, at least as far as I can tell from the couple weeks I have a had one. I have yet to be disappointed. www.musiciansfriend.com/drums-percussion/ludwig-supraphonic-black-beauty-snare-drum The one he is using is the 779 dollar one. the only difference in the 699 one is the lugs. the 779 one (the one without the picture) has tube lugs like he has on his snare. hope that helps!
