An old drummer guy here... I find very few redeeming qualities accompanying this age of information abuse. But, oh what a delight to find you, Dear Sir! As one who has been cymbal-minded since age 10, you bring joy to my 67 year old ankle as it retains ability to play doubles as fast and as powerfully now as when I was 20. You challenge me in a very good way to expand my abilities even at my age. Thank you for giving.

As someone who has only recently taken up drumming (at a very late age......), I have to say that, watching your videos has given me so much help and understanding of the how, what, why, when and where of coordination. Top stuff from a top individual. Thank you so much.

I initially thought this guy was only about playing fast But I watched his crazy latin beats where each of his limbs basically plays a different beat 🤣 I was mindblown
@Ty91681 Жыл бұрын
There's a ton of commenters here that need to go watch that stuff. Everyone is hung on him being "fast" when that's just one dimension of his mastery of the drums. So many insecure people tearing him down based on their own ignorance.

I like your style. As I recover from my leg injury, I had almost decided to give up on my drums, but I am going to start working on recovery and trying to get back to playing form. I have played for too long to mention. I have been in several bands both for a job and just for the fun of playing. 3 years ago, I had a workplace accident and broke both bones in my lower right leg. I'm right handed, so that's my main kick drum foot, even though my latest set has a double pedal. 5 surgeries later, I still have my foot, but I have a lot of metal rods and screws holding it on and very limited motion. I was actually going to stop playing the drums and focus on my other instruments, but my wife convinced me otherwise. My daughter is planning on helping me video my recovery process. Currently my foot does not move right to play the simplest of beats and I have been using my left foot and forgoing the hi-hat work. I play a bit of all kinds of music but my favorite is Jazz. I have adapted it into my rock, blues and country performances. Watching you has given me the push I need to get back to recovery and try your lessons to work on making my foot work again. Thanks

Totaly appreciating the free lessons 😊. Maybe you could break the exercise, showing what left hand is doing, right hand and the foot, separetely, and then, all together. He is an amazing source of inspiration, but (speaking for myself, total begginer) I need to hear what every beat sounds like separately, so that I am able to play all sounds together. Hope this makes sense. Million thanks for sharing the knowledge!!!😁
