Good job. I can not put into words how darn proud I am of this guy's ability to orchistait this successfully. It used to make me infuriated when I would hear these marine biologist or so-called experts say that these animals can never survive in the wild and that they need to be in captivity and need humans. I used to say will let them be free and I would rather roll the dice and let them go. Best to release them two at a time together if possible

@CleverClover20233 жыл бұрын
The only reason these whales were able to be released is because the captures were illegal. Its very very and sometimes impossible hard to get legally captured cetaceans to be rescued. Right now there is simply no where to send them to if organizations were to somehow free them. .

I comment this effort! I’ve always had a fascination with whales and dolphins. I would absolutely love to go see and interact with them, but I can’t bring my self to do it knowing the hell they go through for people to use them for profit. It’s so sad to see the depression, self harm, and the bad things that come with them being in captivity!

Apologies if this is an idiotic question but why couldn't the orcas & belugas be released where they were rather than putting them through the stress of transporting them halfway around the world?

Because thats not where they were originally captured at. The whales were transported 2000 miles back to the location they were taken from.

The releases have already happened. The whales were captured in sea of okhotsk, but released in the sea of japan. All the whales made their way back to where they were taken and the ones that were tagged rejoined their wild pods.

Thank you for helping the whales and Orca. I hope karma, or God, or the whale spirits teach the capturers a lesson and judge them accordingly. people suck. thankfully there are the few good people who know the difference between wrong and right and choose to do the right thing no matter the cost. you get what you give in this world and hurting animals is one of the most horrible things humans do. Good people of this world, if you can help this organization in any way, please support them. send them money, because you know transporting whales and orca cant be cheap. China has been opening all these SeaWorld type of parks. They will not change their laws. SeaWorld agreed to no longer capture whales for theme parks, so China decided to multiply what SeaWorld did by extreme numbers. It gives them at edge for tourism if nobody else in the world has these parks. IMO it forces more whales into captivity by making it very profitable for China. SeaWorld should have remained exactly as it was, and China may not have started this.

Fe Reyes Yes all the whales held captive here were released near where they were captured. The orcas have rejoined their pods and been observed hunting and sharing food. The fate of t he belugas isn’t know, but there is a good chance they made it to their families as well.
@cosmothewonderdog8602 Жыл бұрын
I don’t understand why they just didn’t set the belugas free where they were rather than depend on that insane transport process.
@CleverClover2023 Жыл бұрын
Because the bay where the whales were being held is NOT where they were captured. If they had simply released there the animals wouldnt know where to go and would have likely stayed in the sea pens. Taking them back to the capture location gives the whales the best chance to figure out where they are and reunite with their pods.

Because the area where the sea pens were isnt where the whales were captured from. Brining them back to the place they were taken from means a better chance at the whales knowing where they are and finding their pods again.
