Wow, what an amazing documentary ^^ You managed to summarize the last years of nintendo perfectly fine, all these little quotes, sidenotes and diagrams made it even more professional. I really appreciate all the effort that went into this, it must have taken hours upon hours to research all that stuff. As a lifelong nintendo-fan I've followed their evolution for years, but seems like I didn't catch everything xD. So your documentary was still really interesting to me ^^ The usage of music was also utterly calm and fitting. So really great work there!

This video convinced me to buy a Switch (some day in the next year when I have money). Because originally I was severely doubbting Nintendo's ability to make fun games. But.... I dunno.... I am leveled out now.
@RaikenXion6 жыл бұрын
I actually bought a wiiU real late in 2016, i sat back and watch all those young people camped outside stores in 2013, then rushing to buy a brand new wiiU. Of all the videos i saw demonstrating the wiiU, it honestly didnt sell me. Nothing attracted me to it. I just sat back and waited to see what games would come out on the console, all the third-party titles like Batman Arkham City: Armored edition id already played on my PS3. I was interested in what games ninty had to offer. Only a handful of games have interested me for the wiiU, Hyrule Warriors, SSB, MH3U, Zelda Botw and Xenoblade C. I got mariokart 8 and injustice (mostly cause i never got rnd to getting that game on the ps3 and it was dirt cheap on wiiU). I still play my wiiU now, but i have to say the console itself has nothing unique that makes it stand out. Now im doing the same thing with the Switch, it has potential and Ninty have finally cracked the tablet gaming issue, but again im waiting for the games to pick up. The kid-friendly titles like splattoon and arms dont interest me, its the more sophisticated games and i have the new zelda on my wiiU, Skyrim special edition i already got on ps3 and im not gonna get it just for mario odyssey. So im basically waiting patiently to see if Capcom will bring out Monster Hunter XX on switich, and Metroid 4 really, and hopefully by then to see what other interesting games come out.

I'm pretty sure the WiiU didn't sold at a loss when if launched. can you share that specific source?
It's unfortunate that just releasing a console with a great game library isn't conducive to success. Nintendo learned that the hard way.

@DerekLinden7 жыл бұрын
The switch is a pretty huge success I would say! It has moved an impressive amount of units which competes really well respectively to how the PS4 did during its first few months of release. I just got my switch last week and Zelda is fantastic! I'm really looking forward to the promises made at E3!

I've been waiting for this new video. You did a great job, but I still say you need to get the names of company and product right. For example, you said "Nintendo of Japan" at the 13:28 mark, but there is no Nintendo of Japan: It's Nintendo, NCL, or Nintendo Company Limited. Seriously though, just keep that in mind in the future, and this channel has the potential to go far, you obviously have thought and effort and drive put into it, you just gotta polish it a bit. :)

HUELEN10 get the hell out of here with your politically correct garbage you fucking weeb. nobody cares about your views now stop trying to be a know it all and enjoy the fucking video

The Wii ultimately killed Nintendo. The Wii sold well, but it brainwashed Nintendo executives to try to capture the casual market for the WiiU and 3DS. Both consoles were flops as casual consumers simply bought iPhones and iPads. The 3D feature was Nintendo drinking the koolaid as 3D was trendy at the time in movie theaters. Now 3D is a gimmick and Nintendo paid the price for trying to capture that trend.
@FreelanceNintendo7 жыл бұрын
Here's hoping that they are on the right track after all of that!

excuse me?explain how there BEST SELLING CONSOLE killed them?and the 3ds really wasn't a fail...they only had like 3 failure consoles...being the virtual boy gamecube and wii u
@garlandstrife6 жыл бұрын
Nintendo's last great console was the GameCube, after that, they lost their soul.
@garlandstrife6 жыл бұрын
The Wii sold millions but was a huge flop in retrospective as a decent console. Its library has aged terrible and the motion controls make most games a pain to revisit. Even games like Zelda suffered because of this gimmick. Money and sales doesn't equate quality. The "failure" of the GameCube had a much more robust game library full of classics. Nintendo has been dead since 2006 in their quest to appeal casuals.
