This has a very similar vibe to Forgotten Waters, as you mentioned. Who doesn't love broiled seahorse! 🤣Thank you for the teach and 1st campaign playthrough. The designer has a wicked sense of humor!

Woh! They got chrietopher sabot to narrate? How did they swing that one! Impressive! As far as the game, i love the art and concept, but im not a huge fan of apps for games. I feel like it usually adds to the cost of the game and hurts its longevity. You never know when app support from the devs will drop, and then your game becomes a complete paper weight

I doubt it will ever happen. Because its not an app per se, but more of website kind of application, that can be downloaded. And the cost significantly reduces w.r.t printing the same on paper or books and more cumbersome and fiddly in comparison. Have played Forgotten Waters, Lands of Galzyr it has been nothing but a pleasant intuitive experience.

I believe you do something similar to what we showcased, co-op the hypothetical 3rd player.

Yes. The app hass a section "Variant rules", that explain how you can play the game solo or with 2 people total. The different is that if you are playing solo you will have 2 "sidekicks" (a character that only has a species sheet but not a profession sheet) that you will control. If you are playing with 2 people then each of you will have 1 "sidekick".

You need an app to play? I'm out. Rule #1 at game nights I host: no mobiles.

Only one person is supposed to use the app and you can't use it on a mobile. Tablet or laptop/desktop only. The app is used to: 1. Click "play" to listen to the voice acting. 2. Read out what the consequences are for certain actions. Like, get this item, loose 1 luck token, etc. 3. Enter in codes from the book or tokens, for example, what Follower token you got from the Time bag. It's not like everyone needs or can use the App. Only one designated Game master. Everyone else will have a different job: read out the consequences from the book, keep track of the map, influence (turn order), etc. I can't belive I am defending the game... I can't say that I enjoyed playing it in solo mode to learn the rules. I will... Probably... Play it with a group next week. Then I will have my final judgement.
