Just did it yesterdayon my ’13 LR2. Without hydraulic press it is nightmare. But we did it with 2 screws and finally take off the hub. Thanks for filming it. Greetings from 🇵🇱

Its easy to remove the handbrake cable using a piece say 4 inches long of half inch copper tube tapped over the collar. The tube pushes the tangs in enabling the cable to be withdrawn. Enjoying the movie good of you to put up

Thank you for that tip! Ben did struggle with that, was very fiddly. Hope you enjoyed the video 🙂

Great video guys! You did stake (dent) the hub nut yeh? Very important! It needs to be done up to a crazy torque, something like 350Nm! A tip for the handbrake shoe clips is to squeeze the curved part with pliers to close up the prongs. A bungy cord is also very useful for tying up the caliper.

Another really good video guys, as you say, without the press etc. best to get the complete unit and replace the bearing, carrier, dust plate et al. Don’t know if it helps but I put a dab of white paint on the brake shoe adjuster which helps to see it through the service hole!? Cheers 👍

Just an FYI if you get a bearing puller on the inside the hub race pull it out with one of those you won't bend the backing plate or just use a socket with an old extension smack the back of the race with that and a mallet while still attached is another way done loads like that work a treat also works with other hubs with similar set up

I used to keep new bearings in the freezer before fitting on my motorcycle to shrink them slightly.

Remove the bearing track from the hub using a bearing puller that clamps around the bearing track, pulling it from the hub.

Remove the hub whilst it's still on the car using a slide hammer. You can then remove the backplate .
