0:21 a spin is an aggravated stall where yaw is introduced and this causes a downside cork screw path 0:38 one wing can stall more than the other wing. This is an aggravated stall and happens in uncoordinated flight. 0:43 uncoordinated flight happens when the vertical axis is not aligned with the direction of travel, also known as a side slip 1:11 slips and skids 1:18 in a slide slip or yaw, the wing that has stalled more will drop faster than the other wing which will cause the airplane to rotate and spin 2:02 both wings are stalled in a spin

I’m studying these videos slowly and repeatedly, and taking detailed notes as though this was in a classroom setting to make sure the info sticks. I’d been told my whole life that I could never fly, and I aim to prove everyone wrong. Just because it takes a while for the information in my working memory o stay, if it survives the treacherous journey from short term to long term, I’m good to go. I have my first discovery flight in 3 days, and want to show that I can do this. I’m broke af, and do not come from money. Thank you so much for offering these videos, and for free, no less! A childhood dream I’d thought long dead may finally be possible to achieve. :) ❤

1:55 I was taught Elevator down. I think putting "Elevator Up" for altitude recovery in the same PARE acronym could be dangerous, as this can cause the pilot to increase the angle of attack prematurely.

will all GA mostly or all Cessna or all Piper spin in same direction always ? like bc of p forces... will plane 99% time go Left counterclockwise in a spin ? so have to use mainly R rudder to recover ??...like in start of takeoff.. lot if R rudder.
@FreePilotTraining Жыл бұрын
Nope, you could spin either direction. It depends on the yawing motion

Is the critical angle of attack manipulated in anyway by the camber of the wing?

Hi What does "step on the ball" mean?
@FreePilotTraining2 жыл бұрын
Whichever side the ball inside the inclinometer is displaced to, step on the rudder on that side
@Nnamdicelestine6 ай бұрын
it means, when you bank, you willl see the ball at the attitude display, when you step on the ball, the plane stabilises the aircraft
@ufochannel016 ай бұрын
ok im learning so are there planes that do not have a critical angle of attack? i fly r/c 3d i know its not the real planes but principals are the same. and i can hover and still go up and some planes can also do this in real life. so i am asking you to understand better.
@FreePilotTraining6 ай бұрын
I don’t know of a real airplane that doesn’t have a critical angle of attack. RC aircraft are able to have a much higher power to weight ratios

All of your videos are really great. Great points. Great information. My only complaint about all of your videos is you talk too fast. You move too fast. I and others talk about having to go back and play it again. I would slow your speech down, probably 25%. Other than that, awesome videos.

Dear Josch! Vortexes generators create vortexes that generate turbulent air. Turbulent air stays on the boundary layer and separates late. Thus, delaying the stalling speed! But turbulent air causes high pressure. High pressure on top of the wing doesn’t create lift, it creates an adverse pressure gradient, that in return causes airflow separation, right? This means that it's not desired. Or do I understand wrongly?
@FreePilotTraining8 ай бұрын
I’d need to do a little more research on this.
@thepilot9796 Жыл бұрын
you can stall the airplane all day uncoordinated and no SPIN! The only way a wing will spin, at the moment of the stall YOU MUST have a Yawing motion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As a retired FAA DPE this is the most confusing for CFI Initial applicants......usually they have return with a spinable airplane!. In a spin OBNLY ONE WING is stalled!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The ATR handles dangerously in icing conditions, thus resulting in a stall spin, however, the flat spins requires aggressive recover techniques. 3rd world country pilots tend to be less proficient then USA or European pilots......that is the short version...conclusion: if a airplane enters any spin, its 99% pilot induced!

Always thought the E in PARE was Elevator briskly down to break the stall…
@FreePilotTraining2 жыл бұрын
That’s why I’m not a huge “PARE” fan. When I go ailerons neutral, I also push down on the elevator at the same time. Breaking the stall early will get you out of it more quickly
@bien.mp4 Жыл бұрын
@@FreePilotTraining I think the safest "PARE is making the "P" both Power to IDLE and Pitch FORWARD in order to break the angle of attack early." Putting "Elevator Up" for altitude recovery in the same PARE acronym could be dangerous, as this can cause the pilot to increase the angle of attack prematurely.
