Al Haawiya : a canyon in Hell so deep that only Allah knows its depth. The word Haawiya is derived from hua which means to fall into a deep canyon. Huwwat ummuhu : literally means ‘his mother fell off a cliff into a deep canyon’ . An Arabic idiom meaning ‘you are looking very disturbed”.

Rabbanaa wa lakal-hamdu, hamdan katheeran tayyiban mubaarakan feeh -Al-Bukhari, cf. Al-Asqalani, Fathul-Bari 2/284 * [Dua: Asking for Beneficial Knowledge, Pure Rizq & Accepted Deeds] Recite in the morning اللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا O Allaah, I ask You for knowledge which is beneficial and sustenance which is good, and deeds which are acceptable. Allaahumma 'innee 'as'aluka 'ilman naafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan. -Ibn As-Sunni (Hadith no. 54), Ibn Majah (Hadith no. 925). * [Heavy zikr] Glory be to Allah", and I begin with praise of Him to the number of His creatures, in accordance with His good pleasure, to the weight of His throne and to the ink (extent) of His words سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ عَدَدَ خَلْقِهِ وَرِضَا نَفْسِهِ وَزِنَةَ عَرْشِهِ وَمِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِهِ Subhaanallaahi wa bihamdihi: ‘Adada khalqihi wa ridhaa nafsihi, wa zinata ‘arshihi wa midaada kalimaatihi -Muslim 4/2090.
