I absolutely love this project. As somebody who has fallen in love with Lapland and studies Saami culture and nature, and loves snowboarding, this is the best thing ever.

I have always complained and cursed the finnish terrain and weather conditions here in finland but after watching this you notice its the perspective you have to look from to enjoy it. Awesome project and the shots on this were sick!
@AnttiAuttiChannel17 сағат бұрын
Cheers! I've cursed conditions at times but there really isn't bad snow, just bad attitudes. That's something I've learned over the years while playing on snow:) Happy to hear you enjoyed the project!

Dear Antti, thank you so much for sharing this video. I found the first part particularly insightful. A bit about myself: after 25 years of riding (around three weeks per year) and living in Amsterdam, I’ll be taking my first freeride course next year in Davos, organised by the Snow Safety Center. I’m really looking forward to it! Your videos, especially this one, have helped me get a better sense of what to expect-especially since my skills are probably at most 1% of yours. Thanks again, and please keep riding and sharing! Best regards, Peter

I've always said that from Rovaniemi it is easy to go anywhere 😊 Helsinki, Pyhä, Luosto, Ylläs all able to reach within just about 2 hours 👌 Best place to be and so happy to finally move back to my home city. And thanks also for the video, I loved the story.

Undisclosed location is pretty familiar, it is our cottage backyard! Started my skiing career over 40 years ago. That face is phenomenal at least in finnish scale.

Amazing production! I'm currently in Oulu untill may next year so I hope to do some backcountry skiing in lapland this season. Any recommendations to drive to from Oulu for a slightly less experienced backcountry skier?
@AnttiAuttiChannel2 күн бұрын
Thank you! I recommend Pyhä ski resort and surrounding areas. It usually the best time during February and March.
@olavsantiagoКүн бұрын
You have Ruskotunturi as the nearest ski slope, if your studying at the uni, it's just a couple of km away. Cross Country skiing, there's tracks all over the place, but there has been too much rain. Forest skiing, there's Sanginsuu. Further away is Ruka geopark. Mainly cross country and forest skiing. Syöte is the nearest resort, Saaga travel has a bus going there starting this Saturday, there's some back country routes there but it's a bit rocky and not enough snow yet (was there yesterday), and had some rain. January - March is best. Have forest skied there as late as 2nd week in may. Rukka (kuusamo) is 4 h away, good spot for winter fun, and going for a play at Riisitunturi Is fun. Salla tunturi is another 2 h drive near Russia. Or go north, Ylläs-pallas, Saariselkä, And Other resorts.
