As a boot fitter, and someone who works with the Sidas custom system, question on your decision to build up her transverse arch; wouldn't you want to retain its initial mold? With sinking her into the bags, even with the fore and aft shift, the following press on her instep should help create a decent amount of definition for a transverse arch. While I am not a doctor nor the highest rewarded boot fitter, wouldn't you agree that our jobs is to support the structure that is already there, rather than compensate and correct to make an individuals foot "normal". On top of that, when customers who have not had customs in the past, or have not experienced a metatarsal pad, tend to find discomfort with the lift, even when it was created only via that cavity that is naturally there. Simply interested in your train of thought, or if happened to be the case for this individual fit and is simply a technique of yours. (Again, not a doctor, and if you are/ had additional information leading you to this choice, then simply curious as to what you're looking at.)

Spot on Otto...from a fairly seasoned boot fitter here. Couple of other things in this series I was going to mention too (that aren't best practice), but...just surprised this is the best K2 can do. Making me think they should stick to skis?!
