In this video, we look at how to carry out a titration calculation. This is not as tricky as it looks and it often comes up in exams, so it's worth focusing on.

Hello sir, I'm new to watching your videos and I'm finding them really helpful. While watching this video j found that when you were converted mol/dm3 to g/dm3 You stated that 0.147 mol/dm3 was to 2dp were in fact it is to 3dp. I was just a bit confused about which we should find it too 2 or 3 dp. Thanks for all your help

For the first titration calculation question, shouldn't you actually end up with 5.368g/dm^3 to 3dp. You get 5.366g/dm^3 if you take the rounded value, 0.147, and multiply it by 36.5, however in the exam surely you would do the calculations on your calculator with an unrounded answer. The original concentration is exactly 0.14705882352mol/dm^3, however 0.14705882352(the value your calculator would have in the exam), multiplied by 36.5 is 5.3676, which rounds to 5.368, not 5.366. Also 0.147 is to 3dp not 2dp. Sorry that I am writing all of this about two small details, your videos are the best I've found and very useful for practice and revision.
