Freespace 2: The NTF Rebellion

I've decided to break up the Freespace 2 story into 2 separate videos based on each antagonist because I felt it might be a little weird from a narrative standpoint to go from one enemy to another considering the format of these videos. But at least this way I can provide a little more detail on the NTF, and the Shivans when I get into them. ETA for Capella/Shivans: No idea. Might do something else next. Or not. I like flying by the seat of my pants when I decide what to do.

I believe in the game the Vasudans also gave economic assistance to Terran worlds which was also part of hate toward them. As many humans took the aid as pity or another example of stolen Terran wealth by the Vasudans.

Wow, I actually didn't notice that before. Thank you! And they come from differing angles, the HoL is religious while the NTF is far more covert and seemingly resting in only a handful of individuals.

Damn bruv, Freespace is so underrated classic and I love its heavy sf lore. Such a shame we wouldn't get FS3. Can you do a lore video on Hades rebellion at some point?

The Hades Rebellion/Silent Threat (Yes, Reborn, before anyone asks) is most likely going to be my next video on Freespace. I was going to do it after The Great War video, but I got lazy and did the events of FS2 instead as I was more familiar with it. As to when a Hades Rebellion overview might come out, I do not know yet.

I had to end up learning a bit of FRED over the months to make quick, no-scripting missions where the ships and battles are just the way I went them. Then I set my player ship to invincible and invisible to sensors, go in the game, turn off the HUD, and just find good angles for screenshots. Also a *lot* of luck.

@Amp661 No need to leave it a mystery. It's non-canon anyway so every mission designer can just come up with anything "unofficial" as they see fit. Interesting no one is touching that part of the story tho -- I guess they're just continuing the Freespace plot somewhere else^^

Bosch tried to create a war to stir up the hive, to treat with them on behalf of humanity. He was a bloodlust idiot, Shivans had never seen cooperation between species. Not official, but I promise you it was official at some point :)

A rebel group created to actually and arguably make a better world by the time the ashes of war finally fade... what is this, Code Geass and Steven Universe? Surprisingly, got first exposed to real life artist Hieronymus Bosch because of that magnificent bastard Aken Bosch (with Disney's The Owl House's Hieronymus Bump and one Boscha reviving interest for him recently).

My only problem with Freespace 2 was the Hecate was ugly compared to literally every other ship in first and second game. Also Ronny Cox's voice overs were amazing and some his best in opinion.
