Fsr makes new latches that are nice upgrade also locks for the struts to hold it open

Seems like the EVO2 second version of this tent addressed most of the short comings. Stand off ladder, better mattress, latches, more pockets etc. seem like big improvements.

Hey - Quick question bcs I hate wind and it looks like the Freespirit might be a bit loosey goosey, flapping in the wind. Can you address that? Thanks so much for your review.

Thank you for your review. I bought the same tent a few weeks ago. They have now replaced the rubber hold downs on the side with additional metal hold down. They have also changed up the ladder mount. I did a review as well on my channel.

What type of solar setup do you have. I have the same tent and was looking into that!
@brofessoroverlanding84563 жыл бұрын
I have 3 Lensun Solar 100w flexible panels attached to the top of the tent with Gorilla Double Sided Tape. 2 of them are wired together in sequence and go to charge my Jackery 1000. The one in the front is wired to help charge my secondary battery on the FJ. The 2 100w panels will keep the Jackery at 100% while it is running the fridge and other things during the day. Very helpful when traveling off-grid.

Same question that size looks just right for the FJ
@MrRogers19713 жыл бұрын
@@dangoodman7770 it’s probably the 55”. He’s got the Qomotop self inflating mattress in there and it’s 52” wide… I’ve got the same mattress

Mine is the 55. Sorry for the delayed response.

Two questions: How about winter camping and cold air from under the tent, between the slats? Is that an issue? Also, how did you run your solar? Just stays inside the tent or does it make it all the way into the Jeep?
@brofessoroverlanding84563 жыл бұрын
It stayed extremely warm inside. The solar was run 2 different ways. 2 panels to the Jackery and 1 to the secondary battery on the FJ with extension cables.

I will check it out. I have actually traded mine off for another model of RTT. There were several things I loved about the tent and many things I didn’t. Thank you for sharing.
