Finally a great video on pressure flips! I've watched many tutorials, but after a year of perfecting variants of pressure flips, I could not agree with you more.
@FreestyleTricktips5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words. I used to do so many pressure flips, and I think it's only when you try learning anything other than this one you realise how bad the typical stance/version really is. It's weird how just changing your footing a bit can totally change a trick.

I’ve watched many tutorials but this one has helped me the most. Thanks

Glad to hear it, mate. I think there's a lot of truly awful approaches to pressure flips out there, so I'm happy to help spread what I think is a better technique.

today at 6:30 am on my way to work I tried to do a simple shove it on my mini cruiser board, ended up doing kind of a pressure flip to rail and flopped back to bolts. On accident. after watching this tricktip, I now know what I did wrong for the shove it,but also what I will pursue to land a pressure flip on purpose. thank you very much and great timing. on accident.

Yeah, that's one of the reasons I generally don't do shuvits off the tail. They're a pain in the ass unless you really pop them.

I love all the different pressure flips and toe flips 👍

Yeah, they're great - and there's always more variations to learn!

Bro your videos are very good and very instructive, thanks to you I have learned many tricks and above all improve my way of skating. I would like you to make or give your opinion briefly about the push mongo
@FreestyleTricktips5 жыл бұрын
I'm glad to hear you like the vids! Always happy to know I'm helping people out. Mongo's a weird one. It's not inherently wrong, but it's not helpful in a lot of situations. In freestyle, people rarely push anyway, so there are some folks out there who do push mongo and you'd never know. Same with ramp skating. But if you're skating street, it's a habit you should probably get out of.
@blsk8s5 жыл бұрын
@@FreestyleTricktips I heard that your hero Bob Loftin pushes mongo, and it's awesome because he does it, but that he agrees pushing isn't that important. He hardly ever pushes, and thinks that good skaters can move their feet around the board easily -- repositioning the rear foot after pushing isn't really a problem.

Looks like good. 😁👍

Thanks. I've always been a little proud of my pressure flips - they always feel satisfying to do and it's fun proving you can do them with a decent bit of a pop and a proper catch.

Hey Tony do you think you can make a tutorial covering how to do 360 spins? (like doing a wheelie while spinning alot).
@FreestyleTricktips5 жыл бұрын
That gets requested a lot, actually. I suck at spins, though. I'm currently planning on stealing Felix Jonsson to cover that at some point.

i cant seem to land both feet at the same time, but I have the motion perfectly, any advice?

What exactly is going wrong? Which foot is missing the deck?

Any tips for getting your back foot on it just goes straight to the ground?
@FreestyleTricktips Жыл бұрын
Sounds like you're just drilling that foot straight downwards and haven't got the timing of the jump right. Do you have the same problem with a pop shuvit? Because ultimately, the take off is much the same - you just start with the back foot in a different position and point the toes down and into a pressure flip on the take-off.

Can this be done on a longboard?
@FreestyleTricktips3 жыл бұрын
Aye, it's possible. It's not easy, nor is it particularly pretty, but it is possible. You might have a better time with the toeflip instead - it stays flatter, so doesn't look quite as janky on a giant board: freestyletricktips.com/oddities/toeflip/

@@FreestyleTricktips oh no kidding? Now that you mention it I think I’ve heard of the toe flip, I think I forgot about it tho haha. But thanks for the suggestion I think I’ll try to learn it today!
