"... just do it right: I am not asking for much," would make a great t-shirt, haha. Articulate and encouraging as ever. Thanks!

If I ever get some FSTT shirts made, that would probably be a good one. My friend Fairbro made a pair of T-shirts for us which said "real tips for real tricks" though, which made me laugh.

Love the vids man, you single-handedly got me back into freestyle. Dabbled like every mullen inspired street skater when i was younger, but never to the level you have already helped me achieve. Keep it up!

That's really great to hear. I started doing these video specifically to spread freestyle tricks and proper technique far and wide, so I'm always stoked to hear people are finding them useful.

have you ever tried scooping? into a Caspers on the nose or tail. I found scooping into capers on the tail is pretty solid and rail to nose caper is really solid. (As of right now I'm going to learn dropping into normal Caspers).

Thanks, mate. I'm trying to make the website (and, by extension, this channel) the most exhaustive source of freestyle resources there's ever been, so I doubt I'm going to stop any time soon.

I've already covered the regular casper to casper here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hJS3Y6B9rbqUpLM There's also a tip for the nose casper to casper here, which is a bit easier: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d2TKlGhuqZxlhLs

Can you do a Casper to 360 flip out tutorial?
@FreestyleTricktips
@FreestyleTricktips 3 жыл бұрын
Actually, no! I've never learned how to do that one myself. I can do 360 shuvits out (i.e. just a half flip), and 360 english flips out (that's a 360 shuvit out plus an underflip with the back foot), but I've never got the "regular" casper 360 flip.

Great video as always! And this videos is helpful even for other stuff which isn't the trick itself (the lever thing or board setup). While waiting for a restock on decks (and I really hope Focus 97a too), I couldn't decide between the Elder or Fury and while I thought I'd go for the Elder (I love the graphic and thought an allrounder would be better), I tend towards the Fury now. Being trule bidirectional and having somewhat of a "double flatnose" (compared to basically every other deck) seems to be more and more appealing to me (especially since I really want to get into caspers, railtricks and footwork). And yes, I'm sorry for bringing this up over and over again^^'

I was talking to Dan Gesmer over at Seismic a week or two ago and I think 97a Focus should be back in stock at the end of this month. I'm expecting the next run of Gale and Lillis decks to be finished at about the same time, too... but with how things are right now, there's no way to guarantee that! And yes, my pro model is so much better for caspers and footwork than Lillis' is. Lillis and I rode the same shape for a long time, and when it came time for pro models to be released, Lillis kept it more or less as it was (just mellower concave - the team boards we used to have were crazy steep!), and I really specialised mine. I think the only real benefit Lillis' deck has over mine is that it's much easier to do impossibles and ollie tricks on due to the steeper tails. Which is ironic, but Lillis barely even does either of those!

@@FreestyleTricktips Thanks for the reply! Then it will be your pro model! :D Now it's time to wait, which is a shame but definitely worth it!

I’m going t setup your pro deck soon, wha trucks do you recommend for your deck?
@FreestyleTricktips
@FreestyleTricktips 4 жыл бұрын
Anything with a 6.9" axle will fit; personally, I use Film's 4.25" trucks, but also highly recommend Paris' 108mm street trucks. Tracker Racetracks would also be a great choice if you can get a matching pair of 106mm ones (i.e. two Racetrack X or Racetrack S - they're often sold as an RT-X/RT-S combo).

Yeah, they really are. I have to make some mental adjustments every time I get on one after a lifetime of double kicks, but the benefits are so huge that it's always worth it.

@@FreestyleTricktips I'm 194cm I ride a 29" singlekick, sometimes I'm thinking about buying a 27" for more tech tricks. So one more thing to consider.
@FreestyleTricktips
@FreestyleTricktips 4 жыл бұрын
27" is gonna feel pretty small for you. I'm generally a big advocate of going smaller, but personally, at 194cm, I'd be looking more around the 28.25" mark if you're looking for a short, techy board.

@@FreestyleTricktips I now got the X-foot Imp to Casper down. Any tips for X-foot imp all the way?:) Do you have any tips for where to put the presure on a "slapback" the rail to grip to board.?
@FreestyleTricktips
@FreestyleTricktips 4 жыл бұрын
@@Mr007666 You know what's funny? I've actually never done the full impossible. I probably should give it a go at some point. Slapbacks, if I remember right, are 80% board shape/setup and 20% getting all the pressure onto the deck itself, but it's been a long, LONG time since I ever thought about those things!

The ending was the best, gotta do it right. I hate seeing bad caspers. I get it, its hard to balance, but it looks so bad if you touch the ground.
