Cause my monitor doesn t support any of the features of the premium one my monitor has only basic stuff 40-75 range no low framerate compensation.

@@Techoftomorrow Man, In Freesync Premium on a 144hz monitor, even if the FPS drops to, say, 60~80 FPS in heavy games, will low framerate compensation still work? Or will low framerate compensation only work if the FPS drops from 144 to 120? Please help me with this, as there are heavier scenes in games where the FPS really drops.

Freesync is my favorite innovation for PC gaming in the last decade, it makes gaming shockingly smooth. I haven't experienced ray tracing yet though because I currently run a 5500 XT.

I got a RX 6800. Ray tracing isn't that much of a game changer for me. I honestly think things like Free/GSync, high fps, HDR are more noticeable than ray tracing currently. I haven't used DLSS since I have a 1000 series nvidia card as well. One thing I'm in love with is an ultrawide monitor(21:9).

@@RedEverything 21:9 is very noticeable. Especially in everyday work. Having that extra screen space helps a lot in work and looks great in games. The only downside is full screen in older games might need to be tweaked to remove the black bars(due to 16:9). Also videos typically have black bars on them too since they are filmed in 16:9. I own two ultrawides and it's hard to go back. I used to have 16:10 before which was great as well.

For anyone wondering If you see gsync compatable and hdr it's a freesync premium pro which supports (LFC) low framerate compensation. LFC boosted my 7 year old 390x from 40 FPS to 100 FPS in flight sim at 1080p...not real 100fps but now it's playable!

He's factually incorrect about LFC. All free sync monitors with a refresh window where the bottom is at least half the top supports LFC. It's NOT done by the monitor, but the video card. So 45-90 works, but 60-80 doesn't. He's spreading pure misinformation. Barely anyone makes that junk outside of Chinese knockoffs, and nobody with a brain would buy that either.

Do FreeSync monitors work in games that display in windowed/borderless windowed mode? From my experience with my wife's 165hz G-Sync Compatible monitor, if a game isn't in exclusive fullscreen mode it shows lots of stuttering. No tearing though, but that's probably due to Windows 10's own v-sync kicking in. I've heard others claim that FreeSync works fine in windowed/borderless windowed mode, but on my end it's as if FreeSync disables itself. Idk. Real G-Sync has been perfect for me for years. It's just not as easy to find real G-Sync monitors anymore.

many ignorant people think Expensive = better. that's not it , in this field. G-Sync monitors aren't superior simply because they are more expensive. thats a common misconception. g-sync+more money = license fee to NVIDIA.(about $150 to $200 more.) that is AMD is far better to gaming community than NVIDIA, what nvidia chargae AMD gives without COST/MONEY. they have even better performance for money GPU's.

FreeSync seems pointless. Once you drop below 48 FPS it doesn't work and the screen tear returns! Get FreeSync Premium, or just don't bother at all.

I believe Freesync Ultimate is the now rebranded "Freesync Premium Pro" as the specs for Ultimate were the same as Premium Pro (HDR support etc.) if a product is still shipping with Ultimate then thats just wrong (they should be using the up to date names)

I don't have a Radeon GPU but an Nvidia one, freesync is enabled in the Nvidia utility, and it is turned off in the games. I can't even remember the last time I have seen screen tearing.

HDR is just rebranded SDR. Their is no industry standard for HDR. The UHD alliance says to have a true HDR monitor it has to display 10bit color and have a minimum of 1000nits peak brightness. Vesa certifies 8bit monitors at 400nits as HDR. HDR is a scam. Free sync premium is good enough

HDR é incrível, foi a melhor coisa no meu novo monitor, mesmo tendo apenas 250 nits, deu trabalho para configurar, porque só ativar no Windows 11 deixa as cores opacas, lavadas; mas depois de calibrar as cores, ficou excelente, baixei conteúdo HDR, e joguei jogos HDR, a qualidade da imagem fica muito superior ao SDR, cores mais naturais, e as luzes se tornam reais, luz do sol, luz de lâmpadas, ficam sensacionais no modo HDR. Logo o HDR não é uma farsa.
