Thanks for this video. I got this hub and it’s been flawless for 15 years ! Today I heard for the first time some light squeaks whetting the wheel, will try to grease it.

Good tip mate. Still a good wheel in 2023! Freehub pawl is easy to service now.

I would opt for a large diameter brass drift for driving the bearing from inside. In the states autoparts shops sell a 3 size set for around $25

Thanks! I've thought of buying a bearing-puller kit given the occasional bearing replacement on various things. I assume a bearing-puller would be even more suitable than the hammer and punch for popping out the used bearings?

Hi there thanks for the video. I've serviced my Ksyrium ES wheels as well. But it keeps loosening up any time I ride. E.g i have to check it out before leaving home and check it again when i arrive at the starting point to do the club ride. One thing I've noticed in this video which is different with the other one I saw, is that you are using an L-key on the other side of the axle. That's something I didn't do. The other video told us to hold the axle with a cloth and players. Maybe that's the problem it keeps opening after every km I ride? Cuz checking every time to is if it's loosen drives me crazy. 😂. Thankx in advance. Greetings from Curaçao 🇨🇼🙋🏽♂️

Are the steps the same for a rear wheel? Also which bearings do you recommend? Steel or ceramic?
@jesseladd68643 жыл бұрын
Steel. Ceramic has INSANELY marginal gains at speeds that cyclists ride at. Even smaller for regulars like ourself. Ceramic is more fragile to the elements as well.

I bought ceramic before reading this, and have yet to install. I guess I'll see how they last, they were about $18 for the pair.@@jesseladd6864

Are all Mavic ksyrium wheels the same bearing size?
@edlopez31653 жыл бұрын
Hello, Can i do this with the rest of the wheel intact? Thanks Ed.

Yes!
@aldrinclementina42973 жыл бұрын
Yes it can be done. I did it without taking the hub of the entire wheels.

What bearings does it have? What is the reference? Some have the reference recorded if you could tell me.
