Any house North of the river in zone 2 is worth over 1 mil so to claim Hampstead is where millionaires live is very silly. Central London property is far more expensive than Hampstead as is neighbouring St Johns Wood

I never thought of Hampstead as a millionaire district! For me: it is more like a middle upper class with a variety of backgrounds. I used to think of Knightsbridge & similar areas are ( rich/ no dreaming to live there) areas 😂 Anyway it never mattered who lives there for most people, as much as how safe is it to live there.

First off, i haven't seen you in a while and YOU ARE STILL looking young. Secondly, all these tours you offer, especially eh out of the way tours, like cemetery walks or "alleys" or like the one today, these are the ones I am thinking of taking with some friends through your company. BUT WHAT I WANTED TO SAY, is there there is SO MUCH MORE to England, than the traditional, famous stops everybody comes to see in England. I want to meet the REAL BRITISH, the real culture and their real history of ordinary British people and some famous. The cemeteries and the beautiful gardens, the small shops even the expensive ones you take us on tours. I want to see the back-roads where MORE famous people lived, like authors and artists that WE HAVE FORGOTTEN about. THANK YOU....thank you for these tours. There is so much more to be proud of and see in Britain and England. THANK YOU Sinead!!

I used to live in an apartment in London. I've always loved Hampstead, especially the Heath, it was my breath of fresh air. I visited the Heath at least once a week, enjoying a pint or two in Jack Straw's Castle and the Holly Bush among others. I love the Pergola, I remember when it was derelict, it's great to see it as it is now. I now live in beautiful County Kerry, Ireland. So you had religion imposed on you, that's child-abuse. Children should not have religion imposed on them at all, because it results in them regressing into mentally challenged ignorant people; instead parents should allow their child's intellectual development to grow, otherwise they will become like mentally challenged subhumans like Christians and Muslims.

I walked the same streets without the benefit of your fantastic commentary, visited Facets Jewellery shop, explored the Heath, never discovered the Pergola, so much for me to revisit now with more information. Thank. you. I can walk for hours in Hampstead. Particularly enjoyed the church and graveyard. The memorial to John Harrison was awesome and inspiring. So many creative people at that time in this location. I can't wait for part two, so informative, and I look forward to returning, never get tired of learning more of Hampsteads fascinating. history. Thankyou for your excellent podcast, I live in NZ so it may be a while before I am back 😢 ❤

Linda, the pergola is hidden away up near Golders Hill Park. Access is from Inverforth Close, off North End Road.

The hollybush used to be my local when I lived on heath drive around the corner. Most perfect pub on a summers day

great video - so pleased to see that the Hill Garden is still around - haven't been there for 30 years, but an absolute gem.
