Love you work mate. The ‘template’ you have for putting the videos together is great and works really well to tell the story. Your choice of music and where it is used is perfect. And your personality kinda tops it all off nicely. It’s a joy to watch. Keep doing what you’re doing.

Tyre choice can be a bugger. I run 80/20 road/dirt on a Vstrom, simply because 90 percent of my riding is on road. When off road, just slow down a little. Easy. When I was young and silly, the only tyres were knobbies or road, nothing in between, We soon learnt to compromise.
@freewayproject
@freewayproject Жыл бұрын
yes, there is a lot of compromise when on a long trip. The only tyre they had was the 605 so I went with it, hopefully I can find a track or two.

Canyons? Gullies? Maybe they're just valleys! Canyons have straight sides and are generally very big and eroded; gullies have steep V sides and can be quite small; while valleys are more rounded. I'm really looking forward to your episode crossing the Nullarbor. I did it last September on my Harley Sport Glide and found it truly extraordinary. I particularly loved the 180 degree skies and endless clouds reshaping, plus rain in the very long distance streaking down. The 100 Mile Straight was total Zen, though when I finally got the the first curve, it was such a shock, I almost missed it! Another great episode in your wandering. So inspiring.

Did you report the cattle on the road? He had escaped a farm. I spent most of my life visiting KI... such an incredibly beautiful place! I now live in Canada... but miss Aus/SA a lot! There isnt a day where the island isnt windy... but you managed to find one of the most secluded and windless camping areas of the island (American River)... so well done! Also you could be Toby Price's brother, without the mullet or moustache haha

Do yourself a favor and throw a tube of (Selleys Knead It Multipurpose) in one of your bags, works on just about anything and would be a quick easy fix for things like the hand grips etc which is a great reminder for me to get a small tube for when I get a bike soon as its so handy :)

I can assure you that you will get no tyres between Port Lincoln and either Kalgoorlie or Esperance (more likely Albany). I would recommend either a Mitas E07 or a Mefo Explorer on the rear. If you are up for something a bit adventurous, you can go from Balladonia down to Israelite Bay. Then from Israelite Bay to Esperance. That would entail riding on some very soft, deep sand, especially if there has been no rain. Or you can go along the Telegraph Track from Balladonia to Norseman. Lots of dirt options in WA. You do have to be very self reliant with fuel, food and water though.

Around any build up area the land is privately own, with a lot of farm land and well they're not so keen on people camping on their land. Once you get further out it's all good like in the first episode of this series where I camped where every I stopped at the end of the day. Once you get out of the farm land it is normally in one of the 7 deserts. As I am sticking to the coast a lot on this trip, I'll mostly be stopping in the free camp areas. It would be awesome to be like New Zealand where you have the right to camp anywhere...........🤔 I guess I'll have to do a trip to New Zealand 😁
