Freewing A-4E/F Skyhawk 80mm EDF Jet Full Flight Review at Nall In The Fall

The Freewing A-4E/F Skyhawk 80mm EDF Jet by Motion RC is a great plane. It flies very stable with and without ordinance. It was so much fun to get to take this thing out and rip up the skys at Fall Nall with this bird. We flew it stock with the 12 blade EDF and the 3530-1850kv outrunner motor. We used an Admiral 6s pack and it was perfect.

My father flew 194 combat missions in A4's during the Vietnam war. He praised it's nimble performance and it's ability to outflank enemy jets.Most Navy and Marine pilots loved them, crew liked them for their ease of service. No wonder the Navy used them for so long. And believe it or not upgraded versions are still in use by certain armed forces around the world 50 years later.Only the B52 flew longer. I think it is one of the best fighters ever made

I've always had a bit of a penchant for the A4, especially the models with the humpback. I still have a 1/72 static A4M that I built pre highschool!😅 Couldn't bring myself to get rid of it. I love Vietnam & cold war era jets & helis, maybe not as cost effective or even or efficient, but way more interesting than the modern multi-purpose aircraft of today. Different times! Nice scale model & cool video!👍

Nice video! I bought a second hand one with 2 flights that looks new,and refinished it in VMA-223 livery.Haven't flown it yet,as skills not there yet,but this year for sure! They sure seem to have enough power,and I like the size of this jet,it is bigger than I expected.Thanks!!

Hey Wesley, I see you uses the motion Admiral gyro receiver a lot. I do also but I'm hesitant to use it in a more expensive plane. I've heard that some people had issues with a Flap to Elevator mix causing issues. Whats you opinion? By the way nice video.

I haven’t had any issues with admiral receivers I always tape my antenna like the should be. As for flaparons I’ve only done it once but worked fine for me

I like this guy Wesley and the plane is beautiful, but listening to James in the background is killing me haha. His voice is painful and he's not good at flying. Motion is blowing it with that guy.

some info. freewing can be thanked, for getting it Wrong, again. i refer to the use of a TOO-small, 'scale' exhaust diameter. for an 80mm edf, intake And exit area should each be equal to a circle that has a radius of 37 mm. it is just a happy accident that when a jet has two air intakes, the intake area is, sometimes, close to being correct for an edf. cheers googletranslate

FMS models makes way better jets, almost no glue, no paint over-spray and almost all models are inrunners w upgraded landing gear. FMSMODELS
