The 64mm V2 is my 4th edf. First 3 were 70mm F16s I had no business to fly. The F22 is so forgiving.Though mine is a bank and yank, I've learned so much about how to fly edfs. With only 5 Sundays under my belt, I feel like such a pilot.

@@TwoBrosRC That is the crazy part for sure. I don't have a channel, but I have issues with notifications from channels I have subbed and selected "ALL" notifications. I wish I had some good advice or data for you. Many of my subbed channels don't even keep me updated. I have to go to them specifically to see new videos. If I figure it out. I will definitely let you know ASAP.

I fly a lot of different planes and this is my favorite of them all ! I am still running my stock 6s 1750kv outrunner lol with stock impeller . I do have guniac afterburner on it and I used gold metallic with an airbrush to simulate the bronze look older full scale Raptors get . I gotta say you fly the HECK out of yours ! 5:37 SWEET!! All kidding aside Jon if you have to try any new move or get the feel of this jet or anything else you fly you have take it high up I'm not offended or bothered at all do whatever makes you comfortable especially if you're re-maidening it after a crash I understand totally. Another fine job hopefully one of these I would love to see you add a trust vectoring system on that f-22??

Haha, I'd like to think I got close enough to the ground to make you happy my man. Next time I'll aim to be a bit lower and see what happens. TV is something I'd like to do but I'm not sold on the idea of having to aftermarket the system via a 3D printing gig, you know? It should've been stock.

Sorry you had an accident with your F14. I will watch your progress with it - mine is still boxed and hidden! - as is my JAS-39 Grippen. Latest arrival and first in queue is the F22. I plan to install an AR8360T to get maximum flexibility. The Blue Box doesn't seem to have the expansion flexibility but I was wondering whether you considered retaining it to cope with Gear sequencing rather than using the sequencer on the NX10 - which is what I have - and also to cope with the lights. Weather here in UK more conducive to fiddling than flying at the moment!
@TwoBrosRC2 жыл бұрын
Hi Tommy! Check over my F-22 setup, it has the info you'll need regarding the blue box: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nIG1dotsjZaIb8k I removed it entirely and used my 10th channel to run the nose gear door on a sequence. I also re-wired the jet and removed the ribbon cables along with installing a FMS 1950kv 90mm motor with an Avian 130a ESC - its BEC lead is also tied to a 10a BEC which only runs the gear to prevent them from burning out on the 6v Avian power.

I just wanted to mention to any of your subscribers that are idiots like me that struggled on their maiden and fought a severe porpoising and incredible unstable flight on the F-22. If the F-22 is still in one piece, check your elevator bolt assembly. I’m not sure what I did wrong, I just disassembled the elevator from the fuse and tried again. The F-22 went from a bucking Bronco to a big baby. You get this balanced out and trimmed its as easy to fly as a trainer in level flight.

I've been searching for a Vectored Thrust mod for the F-22. One or two people seem to have done it a few years ago. Wondering if you've investigated. I reckon it would be a really good mod.
@TwoBrosRC2 жыл бұрын
It's a lot of work to install and set up. My contention with it is that I shouldn't have to mod in a TV system on a jet that should have already come with it. But even then, I'd need a 12 channel receiver to work it into my current setup so that's another reason I haven't done it just yet.
@tabdycollins2 жыл бұрын
I was planning to integrate the nozzles into the same servo as operates the elevator which should KISS! I think I've discovered someone who can provide the kit.

That’s a very good pilot, extreme controls but I guess he’s very nervous inside, he doesn’t seem like it from watching him pilot, but my good it’s a true talking machine, he just can’t stop in fact often he kinda sound like he’s talking to himself but with a loud voice, But he’s a very good pilot 👍

Hello Jon, What have you found as the best CG point for this jet?
@TwoBrosRC2 жыл бұрын
160 to 165mm works best in my experience. 170 is just on the edge of being past neutral, nearly in tail heavy territory.

Hey Jon, your flying just makes me want to fly more! Is the fms unit a drop in for this jet btw?
@TwoBrosRC2 жыл бұрын
So glad to hear that, Ian! No, it's unfortunately not a drop in - you'll have to shave the foam motor block a bit to get it to fit, and mine could still use some shaving to make it a flush fit.
