Awesome. I assumed the power is there, but that low-profile I didn't want to risk it

Been waiting this one but yes the old setup was holding me back but now with them coming with a inrunner it may need to be in my hanger!

That was a sweet flight James and that landing was great! Good looking jet,and the size is awesome.Seems like this F-5,the A-4 and the T-33 are larger scale than most of the Fw jets! Now we need an updated A-4 with an inrunner and gear doors,Oh Yeah!! Thanks James!!

James, if you're still reading comments on this video, I've got an F5 project in the works... lets hope your comment about not bothering flying off grass doesn't apply here! Well, let it be a challenge! Cheers, Nick

I hope it works out, she's a fun jet to speed around. Good luck to you, thanks for commenting

You can fly a slower approach with full flaps , I fly land mine with a little power on and higher AOA and let it air brake on landing . It’s a great slow flyer all dirty , but caution don’t get slow in a base to final , wait until final approach before you slow it up . An accelerated stall in the turn is a dead mans curve .

Is f5 stable as f16?

How about short grass fields? I fly my Dynam Citation 550 wich i think has smaller wheels and a not-shock absorbant gear and it works fine on our 150m short grass runway

I bought this, slapped it together and balanced on recommended cg- 4400 6sHV gives it 4 mins of throttle, 3700 3:30- anyway after a few fun fast flights I broke it, but was so 8mpreseed I drunk shopped two more F5D, and two T-33’s no, I’m not sure why, but did u ever double pay a car payment, or card payment? It’s kind of that situation- anyhow, this plane flies beautifully, smooth, fast and crisp controls make it cheap, and still GOOD

Im looking to getting into the hobby soon. Are we required to register the aircraft? I saw this on a site via Google.
@MotionRC4 жыл бұрын
Nope. But if you want to join and fly at a club, you will need a membership to the AMA. You wouldn't want to fly a jet like this at a regular park or over people

@AcesHighMedia4 жыл бұрын
DO NOT buy this jet as your first RC airplane. You WILL have a very bad experience. Start with a high wing trainer such as the Apprentice or a micro RC plane like a sport cub.
@MotionRC4 жыл бұрын
As aces high said. This isn't a starter RC aircraft but one you get when you are comfortable. Head to motion RC and look for our trainer aircraft section. Great options to start to learn. Also look up RC clubs near you
@madhouse7404 жыл бұрын
You can also consider getting a RC Flight simulator for your computer to practice with.
@WillMaigur4 жыл бұрын
How about as a first edf jet?
@MotionRC4 жыл бұрын
@@WillMaigur no. its not a trainer jet. Look at the 70mm BAe Hawk, 70mm Rebel, 80mm Avanti, 80mm Sabre, 80mm L-39 or 80mm T-33 as great first EDF's. Much tamer in the sky. You want to work towards the F-5.
@chrismelvin25444 жыл бұрын
Will this jet do good on grass fields?
@MotionRC4 жыл бұрын
You would want short, well-manicured grass. It has the power for sure, but the wheels are smaller and its more low profile compared to other options

Stupid question from a french guy: Why does an F5 have a red star decal AND a japanese imperial flag on its tail ? 🤔
@sparrowlt2 жыл бұрын
It portrays the CAG bird of VFC-111 Sundowners.. the red star is because they fly as agressors (portray eastern block "enemy" MIGs with their cammos in training combats) and the sun is the Sun downers squadron logo
@janmb4 жыл бұрын
Why on earth keep comparing this to delta wing jets? Apart from the general size and fan size, it has absolutely nothing in common with e.g the Mirage. The F5 has a traditional wing configuration, with all the advantages and disadvantages that brings.
@MotionRC4 жыл бұрын
Yeah Jan, I got excited. not sure why that slipped out. Hopefully, people come to the comments.
