Amazing progress in 5 years of flying. The maiden save was one piece of great flying and that maiden landing more of the same. I'd say your skill set is up there!! Congrats!

I had a launch like that when I sent my home-built Edge 540 up with full rates and no expo. The guy holding my phone thought I had pancaked it, then found me up 3 mistakes high.

I expected mine to be a snowglobe of foam pieces.

My first flight one of the control horns pulled out. I had limited roll and rudder and throttle was my pitch. Took me a bit to figure out that’s what happened. Ended up in a tree then it fell into a creek. Thankfully the battery ejected when it went into the tree as everything else survived the creek. Still flys to this day

I know what is like to have a control horn pull out. I lost my P38, in the middle of a roll, when my control horn decided to exit the wing. I was not nearly as fortunate. Amazing the thud a foam plane can make from 150 yards away!! Thanks for the look and comment.

Hey guys , my Buddy Jerry from Avon Park Aero modelers club would say hello! And I say hello. Great maiden, yeah the Mirage is a handful , but has little to no wing rock and does a great high alpha landing. Really does not need reverse. Its strength is also its problem and that is raw power for her size she is stupid powerful and therefore a handful. Great flight and keep em in the air!

Hi Greg and thanks for the reply. You have a good man in Jerry down there now and we miss him every day. We are subscribed to your channel and enjoy watching your videos. Happy flying!

I don’t know if you had seen my video covering the mirage and my thoughts about it but I warned about all of this. It’s an awesome plane though, unlimited vertical and so quick. Love it!

I am sure I did see your video. Problem was mechanic error...which was me. I was convinced I had slowed my elevator throws down BUT I DIDN'T. Elevator was at 100% dual rates and no expo. I got lucky with my lack of double/triple checking!! Thanks for the look and comment.

Well any maiden you can complete is a success. So looked successful to me...

I agree with it landing in one piece but the first take off and not doing the correct elevator throws caught me off guard. BUT I will take it. Thanks for the look and the comment.

Thanks but this falls under the old adage, better lucky than good! Thanks for the look and comment.

Nice landing save! Weird, mine is super roll sensitive ( I have only 4mm for throws) but never had any serious elevator sensitivity. I use 50 percent expo all around. it's a great jet, but even after over 100 flights, it totally keeps me on my toes, and I doubt I will ever feel relaxed with it..by far my most challenging EDF.

To be honest, the elevator issue was all pilot, ME, error! I read all about calming the elevator down and apparently, I forgot to do it. I was 100% dual rates and 0 expo on the elevator. I got lucky!! I really do like it and the 2nd flight was enjoyable, but you are right it keeps you on your toes. As the old saying goes "if it was easy everybody would do it"! Thanks for the look and comment.

Puzzling comment. I have watched this on an Iphone and a desktop computer. I see no shake! Could it be the device you are using to view this vid?
