I own the Freewrite Traveler and use it maybe twice a week. Admittedly, I discovered that writing with a comfortable fountain pen is my favorite for creativity and the Freewrite is great for getting text into a draft quickly so I can move on to editing.

Love your videos! Are there any other brands of e-typewriters that you would recommend that lean more towards classic typewriters? Freewrite is super expensive for me.

Thanks for the kind words! For more affordable alternatives with a classic typewriter feel, check out: AlphaSmart Neo (secondhand) Pomera Digital Typewriters Royal Epoch Manual Typewriter Mechanical keyboard + minimalist writing app on a regular computer These options offer focused writing experiences at lower costs, though they may lack some Freewrite features. Hope this helps!

It's the price which is putting me off to be honest.

Sorry it's a 1964 Smith Corona Galaxie Deluxe. Manual, both are manual and awesome machines. True mechanical keyboards.

It is a niche product for a distraction-free way to write a first draft. Please don't compare it to. the Alpha Neo - the Freewrite provides a delightful physical writing experience.

@kayumochi I agree that it is a completely unique experience. The Freewrite is incomparable in keyboard quality and overall feel while typing. I've recently been trying out the Type Folio for the Remarkable 2 - mostly when I am out of the house and have been enjoying it as well.

It's a shame they stopped manufacturing the alpha neo. If they made the thing again, I'd be there all day. The price of anything from freewrite is just not something I can come close to justifying. I'll just use my laptop with the wifi turned off.

@@StingyGeek yeah the price is a bit much.. I do find myself using my laptop more and more
