I like the idea, but the price point is just too high for my income level. Hey astrohaus, could you try to make a budget low-cost version? There's Chromebooks (a low-cost laptop) for under $200, what would a version of the Freewrite look like if it was in that price range?

Does it have a USB port, so I can back things up to a thumb/flash drive if I don't have wifi access?

Hi Cathy, the Traveler uses internal flash storage to keep all of your files on your device at all times. Wifi access is used to back-up and sync your drafts to other services.

Try a pen and paper. It's much cheaper and does the exact same thing. Plus it doesn't pollute the outdoors that you love so much to make all of the components.
