When you mentioned the building had to be secured it reminded me of when I used to service a high security DOE facility and had to have a escort with me at all times.. It took a act of Congress when I needed to access the roof to check units. Dreaded those calls.

The EVAP was really nice looking, I wish I could spend more time and label and convert it to a current refrigerant and replace the valves but no one has time for that🤦🏻🤑.

You know I can not figure out why tech’s think you have to rewire or change wires around when there is a part or at the most two or three parts that need to be replaced, I like to find the problem and try changing it to put unit back in service as always explained and great content thanks brother

That wiring mess and all the problems reminds me of HVAC/R school when the instructor would set up the units with dead components and bugs for the students to fix. Three students in a group per unit all trying their method simultaneously wiring different components there is always smoke always a capacitor to explode in a class 208 wired up to 120 all my newbie students. Who would think when you got out into the real world that installed units are maintenance than throwing together and look just like student trainers units lol 😂

Rick i know its not related with this video but you mentioned in one of the recent ones for checking Refrigerant level in receiver using thermal camera u worm up receiver. What method u use for doing that. Cheers and thanks again for great video.
@HVACRSurvival
@HVACRSurvival 2 жыл бұрын
You can use a heat gun or a hand torch but you have to be careful to not over heat it. You want to heat it just enough to feel the difference where the refrigerant is setting vs just the empty metal at the top of the receiver.

@HVACRSurvival
@HVACRSurvival 2 жыл бұрын
From what I seen, depending on where I place it at on a solenoid it can change rotation direction and if a circulator pump is a cartridge type it doesn't work because the it cancels the magnetic flux lines.
