First let me say, I love your pattern folio for happy mail! Second let me say, I am so sorry for the way many of the commenters have spoken to you. It is always obvious when the holidays have ended, as people stop saying nice things to one another. I completely understand why people wanted a demo and many of the people that asked about it, did so in a courteous way. It is actually quite helpful for you to know what viewers are interested in seeing. However, I fail to understand why other folks thought being snide and hurtful was necessary. Kudos to you for being so gracious to them! Thanks for sharing and I look forward to watching more of your videos 😊

Here’s one for everyone to try . Get a cereal plastic liner from a friend and wash it well. Pic your images from napkins making sure you have the napkin separated to one layer. Decoupage the images onto the plastic and let them dry. And peel them off. You can use them as embellishments. It was a lots of fun. Whether the mod podge is glossy or matte is your choice, judy

Great ideas! 🎉 Your designs are truly lovely. Freezer paper has been a revelation in my studio. While I too cringe when something vintage/antique & perfectly useful is repurposed or redone (patterns, books, furniture, clothing, quilts, to name a few), this pattern currently has no less than 7 available on eBay so my jitters have subsided in this instance😅. Tfs - I’m very much looking fwd to the how-to vid in the new year.

You can cut tissue paper to 8 1/2 X11 and glue the edges only to copy paper and it will go through a printer. That way you can print your own napkins with any design you find online. You could also iron tissue paper to freezer paper and do the same thing. Love your ideas.

Did you know that vintage patterns can be worth some very big money? You do have to do some research to see which ones are worth what. It may be worth it before you use those patterns for crafting. Patterns can be copied on a home printer (those with that feature), and then the copy can be used for your crafting.

I have a problem. I am compelled to read comments to videos because historically I've found that I learn alot from the comments too. BUT, bless you Lola, you have some of the rudest followers I've seen in all the years of watching youtube videos for a myriad of crafts. My problems is that I thumbs upped but am hesitant to sub because some of them are so off putting they give me anxiety and ruin my enjoyment of your videos. I'm so sorry you take so much abuse. If you can block people like that, I hope you will because you're too kind of a person to take that kind of treatment. Meanwhile, I liked this video and followed you easily on your explanations. I guess some people need to see you at the ironing board and the sewing machine to 'get it'.
@vintologybylola79217 ай бұрын
Oh…you are incredibly kind😊💗! To be honest, it’s sweet comments like yours that keep me going! The rude, inconsiderate comments are truly not worth my time or energy. I try to practice what mama always said…” if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing.” Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but sadly, some people don’t know how to express it in an appropriate way. So we move on and focus on the good, ignore the bad! I hope you won’t let these comments stop you from enjoying videos on YT! Thank you a thousand times for your time and concern….so appreciated!🌸💗🫶🌺

WalMart may have it or Amazon. It only comes on a huge roll which is $$ now. My Mom used to wrap meat for the freezer in it. For those outside the U.S., if you know someone here, the freezer sheets are wide and lightweight so wouldn't cost too much to mail some folded into a large envelope.

How do you iron on?? Shiny side down? Up?
@vintologybylola79218 ай бұрын
I place the napkin on the shiny side, place a piece of parchment over the top and then iron. I will be doing a full tutorial in the next week or two as well. Thanks for stopping by!💗

What is happy mail?
@vintologybylola79217 ай бұрын
Happy mail is sending a fellow crafter ( not necessarily a friend) some craft supplies and or handmade goodies or something you think they might enjoy. There is usually no reason or occasion when sending happy mail except to bring some surprise joy to someone.Hope that helps 🤞

Think it would work with tissue paper?
@vintologybylola7921 Жыл бұрын
I used it on sewing pattern paper, so I believe it would work on tissue paper as well! Thanks for stopping by and watching!

Totally. It works on fabric. It's not wax coating the paper, it's plastic no?
