I have had the Costco chicken street tacos and I can say the Freezer Meal 101 recipe is better. We love this recipe. Also the pasta meals, the red sauce, ect ect ect.

I have been so busy with buying, renovating, and moving into my homestead, I’ve missed so much, Life has really changed for me over the past couple months it’s been a whirlwind. I’m glad it’s calming down. I’m looking forward to getting back to something normal

I keep my potatoes in a cupboard close to my back door. Last year when it went down to-45 here in Sherwood Park Alberta, Canada (-40C and F are the same on a F and C thermometer.)my raw potatoes froze. It was a new 5 or 10 lb bag. I peeled them all, made a LG pot of beef stew and bacon potato soup. The potatoes end up mussy anyway so It made many many more meals. We were pulling them out of the freezer for a couple months. We even sent some home with him until they decided to only eat frozen meals out of the glass storage container. Picky picky! Another set of them made a great present for one of them and a huge cheese board for the other. I let them pick if they want the very heavy b I g box wrapped present or the flatter very long one. I don't recall with picked which but they were quite pleased with both. They bought their 1st house after renting small places. They wanted to save and get the perfect house that could last for long years and fill it with kids. They bought an acreage with a huge 5000+ sq ft house with 5 bedrooms etc. It's only 10 to 15 minutes from our house or the Sobeys store sort of a IGA store depending on traffic. It's close enough to Sherwood Park to get Superstore, Saveon Foods and/or Walmart deliver. I'm not sure what delivery method they use but they just order groceries online and they're there when they arrive home. For bestbpredicted timebof arrival the usually just use Great Canadian superstore. Of course their old furniture looked sort of lost in the large rooms, so they moved it down to the basement bar area. They removed the pool table, bought more gym equipment, enough to rival a small exercise/weight place. They couldn't wait and proceeded to by enough expensive furniture to fill the huge living room and main floor family and bought a king sizedking sized bed and new bedding and bedroom furniture. They relegated there perfectly good old king sized bed to one of the spare bedrooms. Despite having a huge ensuite and massive walking closet she made on room as a makeup room.The y bought new dining room and kitchen suites and all new pots, pans, dishes and cutlery etc. They have totally filled their huge garage twice with boxes. They both work all day so as a favor they asked use to collapse any boxes they didn't and bring them to the recycling center. They have monstrous sized recycling centers and we filled One container most of the way up. A

Spider races - no, but i wish we had! Christmas was the only time we could get mandarin oranges at the time and that would have been fun.

It was such a treat! I don't know where my mom heard of it or if she thought it up. She also used to make those little paper rings on napking-wrapped cutlery at restaurants into little frogs and we would have frog races at the table while waiting for our food. She was an expert at keeping kids quiet and entertained at a restaurant. She always had a pad of paper and a pen in her purse for endless games of tic-tac-toe and drawing. It was the 80s, so she also showed us how to turn her cigarette sleeves into frogs as well if she was really short on tool! lol She quit smoking in the 90s but luckily by then I didn't need any entertaining by then. lol

Can you do diabetic, low sodium, no nut meals

We seldom have nuts in our meals because Sharla's daughter has quite the nut allergy so that's pretty easy to avoid. As for low-sodium, that's the beautiful part of freezer meals - as the maker, you can use low-sodium canned diced tomatoes, zero-sodium beef and chicken broth, etc. plus you can control how much salt you're adding. And really, the same goes for "diabetic" food. Most of our meals don't have any added sugar, although we occasionally use honey, which is a type of sugar. While neither of us are diabetic, we know diabetic folks in our lives that are able to keep control of their blood sugar/insulin levels by following their doctor's orders. Cooking at home is one of the best ways to do that and freezer meals definitely help with that! Wishing you all the best in 2025!

Ironically, your club and the latest stack are now pretty darn expensive for Canadians with the exchange rate.

Hi Heather! I hear you. The exchange rate is very low right now. I guess it's all in one's perspective. We know that people who use the Club typically save at least $200 on their food costs the first month (more for a full family) so even with the exchange rate, it works out to a tremendous savings. That doesn't even factor in what someone spends in the drive-thru or ordering out so it just depends on what people choose to spend their money on. It's not for everyone, but for those who find it worthwhile to save time and stress and save money overall, it's worth it.

My husband used to say the most annoying thing ever night. First let me explain. We have 2 dogs. What's to eat or What's for supper and the dogs always need something to eat at supper time. I finally kept replying "Dog Food" and I would always feed the dogs hoping he'd make something because he knows how to cook but won't. Finally he now says What human food are you going to make?" It still bugs me.

Nope! Not at all. We have over 400 recipes on our free site (freezermeals101.com) What people pay for in the Club is the system that allows them to take our recipes and create custom meal plans, change the serving sizes, print off their shopping list, prep list, and printable labels. The recipes do get to the Club first but then over 90% do make their way over to our free site (I takes more time to write out the full post, create collages with the photos, etc. for the blog). I hope that helps!
