About your experience- the symptoms are definitely scary, Sharla, especially when you don’t know what’s going on. I worked as an optician and a doctor’s assistant for 30 years so I am familiar with this type of headache and its symptoms. My husband experiences ocular migraines several times a year. Stress and dehydration are possible triggers. Take care of you💗💗

As soon as you started describing your symptoms I knew it was an ocular migraine. I worked as an assistant for eye drs for almost 10 years. I’ve experienced OM many times in the last 20yrs and yet they STILL scare the heck out of me when they come on out of nowhere. Also. The V word you were trying to remember is vitreous detachment.

Loved your story about the new concept tasting Tree experience. Love that you took a potentially bad experience and had fun with it instead. You and your Husband must be great friends as well. Scary that you had that eye related Migraine happen. Glad your Husband happened along to help. Take care of you first and foremost. Eat as you go. Don't wait. Eat. We will all be waiting right here for you when you are ready. Had some sound issues with this one as well...why not? LOL Nothing that Closed Caption couldn't fix. When the sun reflects and hits my eye the right way this happens to me. And then a migraine. When I first start seeing spots I immediately take pain killers to try to keep the migraine at bay. When measuring flour you should scoop it into your measuring cup with a large spoon or cup. Dipping your measuring cup directly into the flour compacks it and your are actually getting more flour in your cup then needed. Just wanted to share this tip. Love the videos and club ❤

I love the slider ideas. I’m going to do the sandwich ones so my husband always has something for lunch or snack and the pizza for the grandchildren when they visit. I would have put my Italian seasoning in the sauce and Oregano on the top of rolls. That’s a more traditional Italian way at least where I come from, Philly. Oregano on top of regular pizza too and whatever you like but oregano is a must if you have 😂good taste. You girls are so fun. And these are manageable things for my age. Ty.

Gosh, you both are so funny and bubbly, I just love watching your videos. I'm just getting into freezer meal prep, but I've been a professional cook for almost 20 years and I wanted to compliment you on your planning and mise en place. Have either of you worked professionally in the foodservice industry? You've got a great mindset and a fantastic blueprint for meal prep. I'd love to meal prep with you someday, it would be such fun!
@FreezerMeals1014 күн бұрын
Wow! That is a high compliment! Thank you! My (Christie) education is in hospitality and tourism. It was focused on hotel management but we had to take restaurant-related courses to learn how to run a hotel. We learned front of the house, back of the house, formal dining/serving etiquette, wine pairing, etc. We learned things like mise en place and how to hold a chef's knife. Very basic. I worked in full service hotels for a few years and I loved hanging out in the kitchen during my breaks. I have a full appreciation for how hard chefs and cooks work. Sharla is a straight up foodie. She has a terrific palate and a great imagination for flavour combinations. For this reason alone, our food tastes good. I can cook but she can make a recipe! We're a pretty good team. Thanks for watching! ♥️

Does it matter what type of potatoes? Because even cooked ones the texture is off and "mealy". I almost always use white potatoes though. Mashed seems fine, but nothing cubed.
@FreezerMeals1015 күн бұрын
I think Russet potatoes are the best at almost everything! Despite their name, they are a white skinned potato and you have probably used them. I think they need to be parboiled or just barely cooked through. Overcooked potatoes are mostly likely to go mealy. Ironically, we typically overcook mashed potatoes to make sure they mash well, but because when we thaw them and reheat them, we stir them and make them creamy or fluffy again, they don't seem mealy. I guess it depends on your end result. Keep trying! Or if you just never get it quite right, consider adding them fresh they day of cooking. That's totally ok! Good luck!
@tracey72415 күн бұрын
How do you reheat the mashed potato scoops?

You can reheat them in the microwave or on the stovetop or even in a toaster oven or oven.

We have frozen onions in our stores. I've had them and they seem to lose flavour. But they look good as if they are fresh. Looks can be deceiving yes?
@FreezerMeals1015 күн бұрын
Some onions are stronger than others even when they're fresh and within the same variety. I have had frozen onions that are great and some that are bland. I think it's more about the onion than the freezing. Maybe worth another try?

This was filmed in the pre-renovation kitchen, on an iPhone. So it's probably the video. I looked at it on my computer just now and didn't think it looked dark but it's probably darker than our current videos in the brighter kitchen with good cameras. It's hard to say.

I do have a question. How di store the freezer meals to where that won't stick together?
@FreezerMeals1017 күн бұрын
The best advice I can give is to keep them dry. If you have a spill, make sure the outside of the bag is bone dry before you put them in. Sometimes they still get a bit of condensation and you can't help that but keeping them dry usually does the trick. Some people put parchment paper in between them. Some people freeze them flat on a cookie sheet and then stack them upright like library books. I hope that helps.
