Probably my favorite solo outing of yours. Only miss the cozy fires you normally do, but without the wood, there can be no fire LOL. The shots you took of the horizon, sunrise, clouds, and all were spectacular. I've never seen the moon look like it did at 20:09. Wishing you and Victoria well!

Hi Abel, I enjoyed this video a lot. Very nice sunrise and very skilful recording and cutting. Very entertaining too... Think that's your strength to be able to entertain. Was up on mount A. just a few weeks ago myself and wow you were very lucky with weather especially low winds. It's usually very windy up there. Can't wait to see the winter version... Extremely beautiful views! Congrats to you and Victoria! Oh, French's mustard is produced in the USA but it uses mustard seeds from Canada. Wagyu burgers and brioche buns...it doesn't get any better than that, the rest is just gravy on top...onion, pickles, mayo...yum! Are Bounty bars made with dark chocolate? If so, we have Mounds bars in the USA that are coconut wrapped in dark chocolate, sounds very similar. Again, thank you so much for the majestic, other worldly views from the mountaintop. Thank you SO much for sharing this amazing adventure with us! And those stunning views! Just fantastic. A suggestion for future videos... something I've often wondered on your colder expeditions, is just how cold it actually gets. It would be great if you were able to bring a thermometer with you when you go camping, just so we can all see just how low temps actually get. In WildBeare's videos, she uses a lightweight, inexpensive digital aquarium thermometer for this purpose, and seeing it used, I went and bought the exact same one for my own camping trips. Comes in handy for comparing inside to outside temps in the tent, too. (Also, huge congrats to you both on the upcoming kid! You're not gonna know what hit you!)

This is absolutely brilliant Abel, and huge thanks for the amazing scenic clips with just the wind noise (awesomely immersive on my wide screen and with my headphones). I'm 70 (and still fit), but you have transported me back to my 20's and a handful of similar high-level camps in the Aspiring region. On one particularly memorable camp about 1500m up in the East Matukituki we woke up buried in half a metre of snow, and had to de-camp in a hurry and stuff everything randomly in our packs and clear out to below the new snowline. You are lucky you had fine weather. I'm a huge fan mate, and best wishes for you and Victoria on this next phase of your life, parenting is amazing!
