These are my favorite type of episodes. Not over the top. Just hard work with great results. And always something to do next. Like real life.

With everything that is available to you through Hot Rod/Motor Trend, I can't believe you didn't convert the brakes to discs. That body style screams NASCAR! The exhaust cut was a good move. I would even take more off and cut it parallel to the fender line with an inch exposed.

Always liked this body style. My dad bought one new, 71 I think.. serious wiring issues from new. First time it smoked the dash harness at less than a month old, second time it burned to the ground at 6 months old. Fought with Chrysler for over a year before they agreed to replace it with the car of his choice, he ordered a 2dr Newport loaded to the gills complete with gangster white wall tires. He named it mahamed Ali because it would float like a butterfly and sting like a bee...had a serious top end cruise gear and would float at speed like it was looking for greener pastures 😂

not surprising--Mopar wasn't known for quality control even before they faced their first bankruptcy. some customers did alright, but others wouldn't go back. Mopar did have some great engineering, however.

Last year a guy brought me his race car with a 35 yr. old House of Kolor paint job. It had one of the worst paint jobs I 've ever seen on it. I have been away from the autobody scene for about that same time period. Long story short, I hand sanded the car out 3 times ending in 2500 grit, polished it and sweat my ass off in the process. 60 hrs. later, it had a more dramatic result due to it being a candy paint job. At the end of the season the car burned to the ground. That is a triple F**K !!! moment no doubt.
