Freight Trains and Flirts at speed on the GEML 08/08/2023

Coverage from a few hours at Darmsden crossing (Baylham) on 8th August 2023 for the usual Greater Anglia Stadler Flirts and Felixstowe container freights, plus the North Walsham-Harwich Parkeston tanks.
Recent import 66073 makes an appearance on the East Midlands Gateway-Felixstowe still ex-works following repaint. Other notable locos are 66782, 66783 and 66721.
Also look out for the triple Class 755 combo on the 1P20 London-Norwich.

Looking rather dry there Chris, hot summer in the area? Don't mind the look of the Flirts but the horns on them are shockers...

Dry until 3pm - the last shot was handheld as it was raining quite a bit by then. We've had a fair bit of rain over the weekend.

I swear some of the FLIRT trains have some weird configurations, like that engine block right in the middle. Also interesting how the doors are so far apart, and there's like 1 per carriage. I would've thought the usual configuration like on the Bombardier trains would be better for boarding and alighting.

@@MildredPottersmith-vb7em it's just interesting thsts all. Like the Tube trains have a lot of doors to reduce dwell times when it's busy , I know these trains aren't for that sort of traffic but still
