The ac clutch engaging on and off wears the metal plate out. It leaves a gap and the magnet will not close it. If theres a big gap then Take the plate off and remove the spacer. It will tighten the gap and engage every time you turn it on.

So you mean take both the plates and the spacers off or you will put back the plates only?

I Saw A Whole Lot Of Dust Kept Falling Off Of To The Ground Coming From The Inside Of The Clutch Assembly Where I Sprayed DW40 Went Back And Started The Truck And AC Switch To High And Working Just As Good As Before…. Yes it worked. I had spent a couple of days in and out in a very dusty area. I will keep cleaning the clutch with that dw. Thank the guy for me. The clutch engaged with a tap of the screwdriver handle. Thanks a bunch. Safe travels

Did this for almost 6 mths with the wd40 i just had to give it a kick start then it worked normally. At the end of the day you have to buy a new compressor with the clutch. Good video. 👍👍

***I WANT TO SHARE ANOTHER GOOD CLUTCH RECONDITIONING ADDITIONAL STEP: "PUT SOME POWER STEERING FLUID ON THAT CRACK". The cleaning only doesn't solve the problem, need additional lubrication as well for the clutch. Brrrooother, one more soul saved here, it had a lot of shiny dust metal particles coming out after pressure blowing it. Did it 3 times to make sure all already went out. The last time was for the clean finishing. AC clutch reconditioned, uuurrrahhh!!!. Big time thanks to you partner!!!

I just came back from loves service waiting for them for 8 hours to fix my a/c and they told me that I have to replace my compressor. It is already 10 pm and I defenetly will try it in the morning hopefully it does work

Mine kept sticking and I have to keep hitting it until my friend gave me some advice. TURN AC ALL THE WAY ON HIGH AND LEAVE IT ON HIGH. Once you hit it and it starts working it will stay on! The truck gets too cold but I just turn the vents away from me. Better than driving in 100 degrees with the window down, sweating to death!!

Hello I have a freightliner Cascadia has no cold air in front but has cold air in rear , I did replaced EXPANSIVE VALVE on the front side, recharge the freon , but it did not change anything , front still has no cold air, and rear has really cold air . Do you think the new EXPANSIVE VALVE is not working or maybe something else cause front AC NOT cooling at all？If you have time please let me know I appreciate ， thank you
