Freights of the day Ft. Francis Bourgeois & Trainspotter Masie Wellingborough 16th March 2022

After being woken from a phone call about something rare coming through Wellingborough, I immediately jumped out of bed to catch the Class 92 pass our station. It stopped at the station with a red light and i managed to capture a glimpse of the cab. Leaving me filled with excitement, I decided to capture all the freight trains passing Wellingborough railway station. With a few special guest including social media sensation Francis Bourgeois, Trainspotter Masie I bring you the action and greatness that Wellingborough railway station has to offer

I’m not a train spotter but glad your channel popped up. Fascinating and very nostalgic. I didn’t realise that there are still so many diesels dragging trains around. I went to school in the late 70,s with some type 40s thundering through the station while we waited for our little diesel multiple unit train.

You meeting Francis reminds me of when I had 15 minutes by pure fluke with Peter hook ex new order who through his records taught me to play bass. I noticed comments on Hendrix? This program called def II on bbc2 in about 1990 did the most amazing documentary on him. It’s got him on the lulu show doing Voodoo and sunshine of your love if you can find it!! PB again,thanks for not taking my "anorak" comment the wrong way:I,m a bit of one myself!There,s quite a bit more to see & tell around Rugby;let me know if you head up this way again.One Loco I would travel to see is a Deltic,I think there are a couple operational & the sight of one in "full welly" is quite something.Will have to check out if any running this year.Best for now PB.

Hard for me to get excited about modern freight locos but then I hail from the age of steam.If there,s such a thing as a "super-anorak" then you are definately it!! I believe the type 92 hauls the Caledonian Sleeper from Euston which passes through Rugby at about 10.30 pm..........that,s worth a viewing!!

Keith has been my inspiration right from the get go. My main channel was based on Wellingborough just like his original channel. Then the passion takes over and now trains have their own channel. One might say that I'm walking in his footsteps. His son Peter was my manager at B&Q Wellingborough and his grandson worked along side me at Abbott's removals.
