French Bulldog Diagnosed with IVDD After Helping Little Girl Through Cancer

Snowflake, a 4-year-old, female spayed, French Bulldog, presented to SEVN for evaluation of difficulty walking in her pelvic limbs. SEVN performed an MRI which revealed an intervertebral disc extrusion at L1-L2 that was causing spinal cord compression. She was immediately taken into surgery. Snowflake underwent decompressive spinal surgery via hemilaminectomy. Thanks to SEVN she is doing well, back to her old self. She is walking, running and is comfortable. This is her journey.

What happens if my dogs head keeps moving up and his tail keeps lifting and he is breathing harshly? It just happened today and I’m very scared for him? I need help but I’m not sure what to do. Do you have any explanation to it?

@SEVN , my dashund ivdd , she was able to walk still , but suddenly this morning after long walk , her both front leg now unable to lift up, but hind leg still ok...please advise, 🙏 or she just need long rest (fatigue) thank you..please help..

Sounds like a neurological problem affecting the spinal cord of the neck. See a neurologist as soon as possible.
