I run Into these issues quite often as well. It’s actually the rain bouncing off the deck, hitting the door and running back in between the door and the threshold plate. That’s why the bottom of the door frame was rotted out underneath. Nice move with replacing that rotted wood though. A lot of dishonest people would’ve left that!

It would have been nice to see the installation of the door. What about that big deck job you were working on, the one with the trees, is it finished or are you just jumping around with your videos?

I know. I didnt realize I left out the most important part. My bad. The 2nd half of the deck build is coming soon. I hope to finish the job tomorrow

@@adventuresofahandyman4446 It seems you never got to the 2nd half.

@@HoldenOversoul I admit this video kind of fell flat. If you haven't already, check out my latest videos. I think you'll find them very entertaining! Thanks 😊

Maybe a deck board same color as deck , cut to fit under door ,would do the trick,,,,great job!

I found putting down a drop cloth or moving blanket gives your tools no possiblity of scratching the floor and less mess. Collects most dust then you can just shake it out in the grass.

How much dose a job like this usually cost

Hey Matt - love your videos and what you’re doing! How’s the power/ soft washing business going? 2 comments on what you did here.....Buy yourself a roll of Ram Board to protect the customers flooring. It was painful to see you and Connor grinding debris into the floor with your feet and you guys just laying your tools everywhere on their floor. Eventually you’re going to get a complaint, and it’s easily preventable! Second is the flashing - I like what you did, but consider going up the side jambs a few inches as well. Just an extra measure of insurance that doesn’t cost anything. Keep the good videos coming!

A deck board is about the only thing I can think of to cover that flashing...I’ve done metal before, but that always gets beat up.

I hate when I feel gibed. Nothing worse than watching an entire video and walking away with that gibed feeling.

Didn't cover the floors, didn't cover floor vent, outswing door would be better, use PVC board instead of wood again to rot. Dude i hope you improve your skills since then.
