I'm excited about our next video coming out next week. We found an 1824 American recipe for curly fries. You read that right. Curly fries?!?! When you first google "when curly fries were invented" it says that Arby's first introduced them but that's hilariously untrue and curly fries had already been around before the 1980s when Arby put them on their menu. Curly fried potatoes were recorded in Europe as early as the 17th century. Though potatoes are originally native to the Americas it was European immigrants who passed on the technique of deep frying potatoes. Potatoes fried in lard started to became especially popular in the mid-late 18th century and may have even been sold by street vendors in France around the French Revolution.

The music you place "Amazing Grace' really captures the mood of the period and the preciousness of life that Paul lived. I can't imaging that in that time period and all times past that life was so much harder because everyday could have been a matter of life and death.
