The restaurant that you walked past named ' AUBERGE DU KEBAB', the word 'AUBERGE' is French for bar, tavern, pub. So it is a Kebab Restaurant. The wife thought 'Auberge ' was referring to an Aubergine/Egg Plant. So, it is not a vegetarian kebab place. Kebabs are not vegetarian, they are made with lamb or beef with vegetables on a skewer. LOL!

The best insect repellent to buy is Smidge. You can also use Avon Skin-so soft, original dry oil spray, that is very good too. I always keep a bottle in my motor home. It smell nice and it’s nice on your skin. I have enjoyed your European tour, keep it up. 👍🏼

Finding a great little spot, town or whatever when you're on your way to or from the travel "destination" and not really expecting anything... I love it! Doesn't have to be anything spectacular either. A nice vibe, some cozy scenery or coming across some interesting people is plenty. I've got a suggestion for your outro: you know the bit where you have Chico running in slow-motion; get Lisa cruising leisurely on a pushbike or something and Mark doing a nice little sprint either alongside or by himself intermittently with Chico.

The flintstone bus was funny! I use earplugs at night, the music wouldn't bother me. They were enjoying the music as far from people as possible. They weren't harming anyone. I had a couple of lads with a boom box next to me, they asked if i minded. When they went for a walk they left it for me to use. It cost them over 500€!

Don't know what it is with the French teenagers? We're living in a tiny French village and have had this a few times, they just rock up on local carparks and belt our music until sometimes 3am! Never seen any the police intervention. Most of the time it's peaceful, but the kids are not n cars, why not drive out into the sticks and bother no one? . Happy travels if you're passing anywhere near Mayenne or Domfront give us a shout and call for a brew.

a village in the new forest had a working mens club since WW2. In 5 years the place received more hate complaining about noise of bands & patrons from folk whom have bought up cottages nearby than they’d received in their entire history. One couple made it their mission to have the cattle grid re located having been kept awake by traffic crossing the rails. During a public meeting my 80 yr old old step dad in his days as a parish councillor eventually lost his temper after repeated complaints from new comers re the lack of street lighting & pavements after their struggling to negotiate the mud in the dark by stating to a couple “ Nobody invited you here & nobody will stop you from leaving “. Our district is no longer authentic- just a facsimile of what new residents with plenty of spare time or influence over local authorities believe it should be. 😁👍❤️

We moved from a terraced house in leafy North London , which had a street light right outside our bedroom window to a beautiful farm house in the Suffolk countryside ( near the coast) . It was a shock initially going from a brightly lit night sky to this pitch black where are now. But 13 years down the line, we are just so used to it. The sky is just incredible . Even on the darkest of nights, you are still able to see around you because the stars light the sky just enough for you to be able to walk outside. But for friends visiting from the City, it’s just dark and scary 😀😀😀
