Formidable! Superbe vidéo! You nailed it! I'm french, living in France and yes, everything is true. We, frenchies , just want to bring out our natural features , with very natural quick and easy looks on daytime. A bit of a light sheer foundation, or a BB cream, a pinch of blush, some mascara, a touch of Touche Eclat to enlighten some features and a smidge of red lipstick applied with the tip finger to give a gourmand "bouche mordue" effect. No contouring , not much of bronzer...For the evenings, more coverage with a bit more foundation, more eyeliner, mascara and a beautiful matte red lip. We definitely are less sophisticated than american women. Especially with hair, we are far more natural. We don't use as much hairspray as american girls do. We let our hair moove freely, with a good haircut or with long hair , a ponytail, a chignon... As i once told you, you are absolutely gorgeous, and here in France, we don't look at wrinkles or jawls, or what not. What counts is the charm, the smile, the smile in the eyes! All the things you have! And it's 53 Years old woman who tells you that. 😉😊

This is true of most European women, not all but it’s been my experience in Vienna and Prague, Florence etc. This is true for mature women. Of course you can find any exception to the rule. No self respecting European woman would wear lash extensions or fake lashes especially the ones that look like strippers wear.

@@bkagel1 Beth, you are so right, I'm seeing this to be true around Europe as well. I think the stripper lashes look came from Russia, hence the term, Russian Lashes, in the lash extension world. But American ladies love it. However, you won't see that look in Hollywood. I tend to follow gorgeous actresses over social media gals.

In fact, I turn down brands and products weekly and when I do accept a paid gig, always tell them I will ONLY make a video if I love a product! You will not see me taking money from a brand and making a video of something I authentically don't use and love! I see a LOT of FAKE here on You Tube too though and I see a lot of filters which I believe should be banned and I see a LOT of gals with plastic surgery telling me to get a product or how to do makeup when they've had everything lasered, lifted, injected and filled. I am from England and mostly done the French look most of my life and just can't deal with the face changing make up etc...I like people to know it's me before and after make up lol. I love the French way of embracing the face shape etc and not trying to change it but actually enhance it and embrace it. No heavy concealer too and trying to rid eye lines etc ...and I absolute love the messy low eye make up and look sometimes like I've slept in mine....with my messy hair.... and yet always have the nice deep rose red lipsticks....or the rosy lip balms.

I have been enjoying several of your videos lately. I am 43 and wanted to start wearing makeup again but what worked in my 20’s and 30’s made me look older and worse than without makeup. Hi I have just moved to France last year and this is way more makeup than a French woman would use! Their natural skin is very healthy and shows through much more. This still looks more madly and uniform. I think you are so cute to own that you are an "American makeup artist"! I think it's the powdery uniformity that hides the natural glow that is still different.

I wear a speck of concealer in corner of my eyes and a tinted sunscreen. Always a nude, pink or peach lip color and a cream blush and bronzer. Always mascara in brown on top lashes. I always just swipe a pale cream on my lids or a blush. Takes me five minutes.

So glad you loved it! I used the L'Oreal tinted balm which is $15.99. I try to mix it up but most drugstore is inferior to me. There are some great drugstore products and when I find them, when they feel luxury and hold up to HD camera, I'll incorporate it.

Absolutely love this look and I adore you! I’ve been following you since almost your beginning on here and have loved your straight forward no nonsense approach to makeup. I’m also 54 and started using Seint in November of last year. I was always on the search for that perfect foundation and had shelves of both high end and drugstore. I’ve since given most of them away bc I always reach for my Seint. There definitely was a learning curve and once you find it, it’s truly magic! I often wanted to recommend it to you but wasn’t sure if I should so you can imagine my excitement when you said you had purchased Demi and Seint products. I would love to see you do more with those products bc I’m certain Seint is just so perfect for us mature ladies. I would love to have a woman of your knowledge in makeup artistry to teach us how you are using it and Demi. IMO once you try them, going back to “traditional” cosmetics just doesn’t occur to you anymore , or at least that’s how it was for me. I 💜 this video. As a 59 year old natural, California, beach loving native, this has always been my look. I have lived in the American South for 25+ years and haven't changed a thing. I always say to new hair stylists, " I like my hair to be loose and a bit like the breeze has styled it for the day." I love it and love wearing my makeup the way you put it on I can now do that too. Your makeup is so beautiful because you make it look so clean, youthful and neat and tidy looking love the blush, highlighter, and the way you showed me to put foundation on and your eyes look awesome and natural.I’ve never been a fan on wearing lipliner it seems to be better looking when you put your lipstick on without lip liner. I love the French look except more of a neutral look because I am so fair. I only use La Roche Posay! By the time I put a tinted moisturizer on, Laura Gellar baked foundation on my eye area, blush, mascara, and a tinted lip balm I even look good in photos which is the true test! I sometime use Physicians Formula BB powder if I want a smoother air brushed look.

Oh wow! I love the look! You enhanced your natural beauty wonderfully! Although the American techniques are impressive they really are about ‘painting’ your face. Beautiful and impressive but they leave little or even none of your own beauty to shine. Frequently it is a mask - a work of art not allowing for natural individual beauty to shine! Do more variants of natural beauty looks please!

Have you read Ageless Beauty the French Way? I loved this book. I still don't have the simple simple look our French sisters do cause I love shadow color but on the weekends I get close. My routine is mostly skincare now that in my 40's. But no more foundation. Spf yes in Tejas. I love a good gloss. Great video.

Concealer rarely looks natural on mature under eyes, especially if not skin prepped super well! Demi looks skin like because of the wax

Same by me, I find RMS concealer for my very dry mature and wrikled skin. I took the Nr. 11 for my neutral cool toned skin and it is invisible!!!
