Always love your videos! I’m first off shocked you can combine gel and dip! Mind blown! Is there a reason for doing gel liquids with dip as opposed to dip liquids with the dip powder ?

Sometimes it’s just personal preference. Some people suffer from dip flu and can’t use dip liquids, so gel is a viable alternative!

This looks awesome! I love that super deep smile line on your nail shape. +1 for double French! It sounds like you’re encapsulating with base gel so you’ll have a layer that you can file and shape safely. Is that right? (I do a clear layer with the standard dip method for that reason, but I haven’t tried the gel method yet, and want to make sure I understand the differences.)

Totally right! Usually I’d use clear but since I did gel, I opted for a gel cap instead 💙

Hey sweets!! You don’t “need” the top but I like it for an extra buffer layer so I don’t disturb my color. If you want to skip the top, just remove the tack from the base and buff!

Thank you for doing this video! PLEASE do one with glitter! I do exactly what you just instructed when doing my French. I tried to do a glitter tip French and it wasn’t pretty! The glitter flew everywhere when I poured it into the cup…and when I tried to pour over the “pink” (I used Revel Erica) some of the glitter fell off and “contaminated” the left over Erica powder! I don’t know what I did wrong! HELP!
